At a minimum, very fair.

I liked Gonzaga and Ohio St being in the top 10. Didn't like the team, than lost to the team, that lost to the team the Shockers lost to by less, being #3 with 10 losses (got all that, Syracuse). Don't see how you do that. We beat #1 Gonzaga in the top 10, they beat #1 Indiana in the top 10, we beat Ohio St in the top 10, they beat...oh wait.

I think it was fair, but I am still irritated that the other 3 teams in the final 4 were ranked 1 through 3 and WSU was ranked 6th.

If you look at the whole body of work I can't argue that we should be higher. When I look at the whole season and I'm reminded of a particular pair of losses I think 6 is very fair.

I know most of you all realize that this program and its fans are in the midst of a revolution in Shocker basketball. We've had some great years in the 60's and 80's but given what this program has accomplished the past 4 years, this probably is the greatest stretch of Shocker basketball ever. We've all dreamed of being the 'Gonzaga of the Midwest', and right now we are heading in that direction. However, I don't think I am too out of line to say that if Gregg Marshall chooses to remain here for the foreseeable future, I have no doubt that Shocker basketball can eclipse what presently is the Gold Standard of non-BCS basketball Gonzaga has established the past 15 years.

This type of post is out of character for me, and trust me, I'm not drunk of the Final Four Kool-Aid. However, I genuinely believe the Shox can parlay their FF run into bigger and better things. We just need to sustain and maintain and GM we trust. It is a very exciting time in Shocker basketball.

Considering GMU was #8 and VCU was #6 after their FF runs, I think #4 isn't disrespectful at all. However, with that said, I'm #notsatisfied. I won't be until the final rankings have our name with a #1 in front of it.
