It was just one of those nights. Everyone has one. He has developed a nice mid range shot, and can knock them down with some regularity. It opens lanes for Armstead and Williams. It also creates room for Early to work.

Yes, 11 is a SN # and like I said, Ohio State's 11 game streak had to end. Next, 7 is another SN number. 2X7=14--thus, the basketball gods must intervene and end this streak with gobs of help from our beloved Shockers. Illinois State was around 7 ahead of us with roughly 40 ticks left on the clock(we still win) but yet only lost to L-ville around 3? 3x7=21 so this must be a sign? Dunno cause I am wingin this as I go baybay!!!

The guards of L-ville are very, very good. However, their squad don't seem to shoot the rock that great from the outside. Duke sure had no answers in the 2nd half on either side of the court. Lastly, not giving any of this any thought, I picked us to win with 59 points. 5+9=14 which means we have to end their 14 game streak. CAN u dig it? Groooovy graaavy.

Hall plays some center, some power forward depending on the matchup. In spite of leading us in scoring, Cleanthony Early has come off the bench much of the year with Ehimen Orukpe (7'0" 250) starting at C and Hall at PF. Hall can hit the mid-range jumper and can face up and drive from mid-range, but isn't a threat from three.

As for the Creighton game, as others have noted, Cleanthony Early was sick and ineffective which let the defense sag on Carl and meant that we depended on Carl to keep shooting in spite of a poor night when usually those shots would have been shared more evenly with Early. In a bigger sense, though, he just had a bad game. It happens (which are usually the games you lose). For instance, Chane Behanan went 2-8 (25% vs. 28% for Carl) in the loss to Georgetown. It happens from time to time, but on the season he is shooting .538 from the field (compare to Dieng at .533 and Behanan at .505).

Thank you. Yes, we know how any player can have a bad game or two. I had assumed he was down under and missed a bunch due to some dominate center. Sorry, not up on you guys or Creighton, for that matter. That is why I have discovered your site to be very informative. Heard you guys had to overcome some poor officiating in the OS game. Didn't get that from here, but a neutral site. Our fear is that the game will be called ultra closely and our guards will get into foul trouble early.
