Went to NOLA for last years final four and talked to some UK fans about tickets. The breakdown goes like this:
1. Big donors get best seats and held at face value in the WSU section
2. The primesports/alumni assoc. packages get the next best seats, because the U gets a good kickback, in the WSU section.
3. Students from the 4 colleges sit behind the baskets in one of the 4 sections on the floor.
4. There are 20,000 tickets that get sold in 2012 through the lottery
5. The NCAA sponsors get thier seats as well.
6. Any other tickets left over (never happens) are released to the public.
Best bets for tickets are NCAA ticket exchange first, then stub hub, then craigslist unless you are in the top 20% in priority points with SASO.
