Here's my prediction. OSU is by far the toughest defense we will have faced in this tournament. This game will be similar to a Valley game, two tough defenses squaring off but OSU has an edge we don't - they have a lot of guys who can score and they have that one player who can break for 25 plus consistently and take over the game. I won't go so far as to say it will take a perfect game from the Shox to win, but something very close to it.

In addition, the guys are going to have to dig down deeper than ever before and go a level they have never tapped into. Their emotional intelligence will have to keep them continuing to play angry but level headed when OSU makes runs, takes a lead or causes scoring droughts. They'll need to shoot lights out and lastly, impose their will.

That's a lot to ask but not inconceivable. I've predicted a loss in every game in this tourney and each time I had, the Shox have won. I actually feel obligated to predict another loss as being a superstitious guy, shouldn't mess with what's working. However, I am going to allow my heart to take over logic in this case. I keep replaying over-and-over in my head the Shox coming out like gangbusters and slamming OSU in their nose. Maybe I've drunk too much of the kool aid, but I foresee a 71 to 49 victory.

I wonder how the stat comparison sheet between Pitt and Ohio St. I seem to remember reading Pitt was the better of the two defenses statistically.

Sounds like I'm feeling the same as many here. Thursday I was antsy all day long. Today, I am at peace. I will cheer and yell and scream like mad for about two hours starting at 6, and I am not yet satisfied, but no matter what happens, I am at peace. And I am, and always will be, proud of this very special team.

I have found it interesting in watching some of the videos of HCGM talking to the team, like after the game Thursday, when he asked the team if they were satisfied and when they gathered for 1-2-3 family at the end, they weren't whooping and hollering like one might expect. Part of it is being businesslike and focused, but part of it, I truly believe, is this team at peace as they prepare, saving the energy and emotion for the court. Well done, young men, and let it ride.

I think todays game is going to be low scoring. I keep thinking about the middle 20 minutes of the OSU/AZ game. The defense played by OSU was some of the best Ive seen in the tourny and they went from 12 down to 10 up, as an athletic AZ team had a hard time getting an open shot. I just dont think WSU has enough offense to overcome OSU's lock down D. Close game ....OSU 62 WSU 55
