Here's the deal. The end? Never, and I might go on forever and ever. First and foremost, I predict that this is NOT our last prediction thread this very Season!!! U like?

Last night I was scouting the La Salle and Ole Miss. game and really enjoyed that match-up. Then before doing a prediction thread, I grabbed my handy dandy remote, flipped over to the stinkin Creighton vs Duke game (drip, drip, drip) to see if they could make the Valley some bread. You-all ready for this? I fell asleep until 4 in the mornin and woke up to a blaring loud TV, wondering what the hay was goin on around here. Welcome to the world of an ole coot. Can you dig that and buh-bye Blue-birds. We are the last Valley team still standing and we are NOT done winning.

La Salle reminds me of a cross between a glorified Detroit but with grabby defending hands in the passing lanes, and a twist of SIU with lots of guards. I felt like we would match up better with Ole MISS but I am finer than a frog-hair with this game. Look for our big 3--Hall, Cle, and Armstead to lead us. D-Will is due to play solid and #15 will come off the bench and give us some instant offense. I love how we can play any and all of our players and who knows who steps up huge. Last game, 2 Frosh Guards and Jake White came in with ice-water in their veins and made huge shots to seal the deal.

The Pittsburgh (with an h) win was expected by many here on SN. Our Zag win was epic, bringing us positive PUB. but the su-weet surpass was Not our Superbowl. This game will be tough to win but our beloved Shockers are Not satisfied and Will win like angry MTXE road warriors.

Because they will have a decent game all around, but as Marshall said about Gonzaga, they have to defend us too.

A good rebounding game for the Wheatshockers and an up tempo game puts us in a 6-10 point lead. The foul game and a home run dunk or two makes it 15.

La Salle gives us all we can handle until the 10 minute mark when being 6-7 deep takes its toll.

Greetings Kung Wu and thanks for the kind words. I going out on a limb and predicting that Jake White will not even be set, but get a charging call against La Salle. The commentators will belly-ache like a bullfrog in a hail-storm, till the cows come home, being oblivious to the oodles of calls he did not get as the refs are summoned by the basketball gods to give him a break. Then Jake oozes with so much confidence that he drains three- 3's in a row(noooo--yes--thrice) and the crowd goes wild, as we SN faithful are beggin for mo 3 attempts baybay!!!

Your prediction could be very very close Sub. Let's hope that We cover La Salle like a cheap suit and hit shots like we did at the Garden a few moons ago. There are no clear cut teams left standing that have a cake walk to the Ship. Thus, that means if we crest in our peaking and build on it as we go, we can win more games no matter who we play.

Here is a key. We really need Cle and our distinguished Beast to stay out of foul trouble in this here game. Great minds think alike and I say that while expounding on the last comment you made. I really do not think they match up to Cle and Hall if they are on the floor for significant minutes. I also think they will keep 'firing away' but as our quality depth does some flurries in the 2nd half, their legs will get rubbery like a boxer in the 15th round and miss their fair share and we will win.

As regards the enemy, the noise they have been making in this here torn-a-mint has been cute and all, but there's only room for one true underdog and that my friends is us. We can't be the lowest seed to ever win a champy-ship if we lose, now can we?

Wichita was a 4 seed out of 8 seeds when we won the NIT. We were disrespected and had to hit the hard road.

Guess what? We're a middle seed again. Disrespected and 1500 miles from home. Nuttin' but a thang.

I agree, I'd be willing to bet that LaSalle will attempt to get our big men in foul trouble early by using their speed to penetrate. The Shox must continue to trust in one another. We have a size advantage, trust our big men to disrupt their shots down low. There is no need to risk getting a call against you when our size poses any guard down low to put up an awkward shot. Our perimeter guys need to stay at home. Trust our big men to do their job, stay at home and protect the perimeter for the dribble drive dish out for a three point shot.

When you are playing 6 maybe 7 deep and four of your starters are guards, you offense is limited to what you can do. We must be disciplined.

I haven't really seen La Salle get much coverage. FGCU is the team being talked about a lot ... both by ESPN and by most people I talk to. First thing out of people's mouths at work this morning was "Did you see Gulf Coast?" rather than "I can't believe Wichita beat Gonzaga."

Regardless, they're a feel good story. We're not going to win a Cinderella-off with a 15 seed >=) They're not advancing past Florida, though, so if we want the Cinderella coverage, let's go win our game.

So Kung Wu goes and buys a lottery ticket. Next thing we know, he hits a sorta big one and is on the tube as S.N. look on in awe and it goes something like this:

Here's a thought. Maybe we aren't the talk of the town because our name has been in and out of rankings and discussions for a couple years now. It was a big upset but not nearly as big as FGCU.

Not diminishing our work at all. No reason to be coveting more attention. No big deal... we came out like a big time team and beat another big time team. It all really just means we are closer to where we want to be than ever before. WSU knocking off a 1 seed is only a little but surprising rather than completely impossible. The nation knows Marshall and the Wheatshockers.
