It would be interesting to get a good report on exactly how much D-Will's knee is bothering him. LaSalle appears to be the kind of team where D-Will could be very useful and effective, especially on D.

I laughed when their guard called his shot a South Philly floater. I dated a girl that worked during the summer at Cape May NJ and went to the beach which supposedly is the place to go during the summer. The water was frigid and I was knee deep when a large turd floated by. The girl I was with said "Oh, Philadelphia pumps alot of its waste into the water." Up until now I always thought that that was a South Philly floater.

        2. La Salle didn't get lucky. The Explorers advanced to the Sweet 16 by defeating No. 4 seed Kansas State (in Kansas City, no less) and No. 12 seed Ole Miss. But there wasn't a glaring talent difference between La Salle and its opponents. Ramon Galloway, who is averaging 21.3 points in the tournament, is one of the better guards in the country. Forward Jerrell Wright had his way with K-State's frontcourt, and guard Tyrone Garland blew by Ole Miss defenders in the waning seconds Sunday and scored the game winner over shot-blocker extraordinaire Reginald Buckner. Don't be fooled by La Salle's No. 13 seed. What it has done thus far isn't all that surprising considering the personnel. If the Explorers beat No. 9 seed Wichita State and advance to the Elite Eight, it won't be considered a massive upset. Or at least it shouldn't be.

Lasalle looks good. A few observations.

They gave up a Huge lead in the 2nd half against KSU. Big scoring drought.

WSU will be working hard on rebounding this week. I am guessing. Look for our D rebounding to be large.

Im not chailking this one up by any means. Lasalle is dangerous. But there are signs that we have a decent chance in this one. We did just beat the #1 team in the country....

              Dear Shocker Fans,

I just came by to congratulate you guys on this awesome run in the NCAA tournament and with a good feeling that it will continue. You guys have represented the Missouri Valley so well in this tournament in a year where it seemed like losing Creighton was going to put a stamp on this season. Yes I am an Illinois State fan and obviously there have been disagreements throughout the season which I am hoping is just a one year deal but I just wanted to come by and let you know that Bloomington-Normal is pulling for you guys! It is a true accomplishment to make it this far and knowing your staff and players it doesn't end here. Good luck this week and as much as I hate to say it GO SHOCKERS.

              Sincerely
              Redbird

I'm pretty impressed that someone's poo was flushed, travelled through the city sewer systems, then tossed around in the ocean all the while maintaining its original turd form. I wanna know what that guy (or gal) had for dinner the previous night... tremendous turd powers! FIBER FTW!!!

I love cold and I support him as blindly as I support EO, but this is my current favorite post of the day.

I will add that anyone who 'hates' cold should remember that a coldless shockernet would be much less entertaining. Ever heard the song 'without me' by eminem?

You're having quite a few bromances lately @DJ06Shocker:.

You may want to go back and spend some time on Creighton Bluejay Game Countdown thread. :tongue-new:

Be careful. This might take over as my new favorite post and it won't be long before I channel my love onto you.

Its hard not to be full of sunshine after this weekend.

Sounds like la Salle could really use Zack. From thread by Crazeeguy:

                              - They rebound very well (27th in the country vs. 292nd)
                              - Their two leading scorers are 6' 8" forwards (Early 13.9ppg and Hall 12.6ppg). Early has been hot lately after averaging only 5ppg in his conference tourney.
                              - They have a true 7 foot center in Orupke. Poor offensively but good on the boards and changing shots.

                              Or this.......

Witchita State doesn't the play athletes we play.. The A-10 is one of the elite rebounding conferences in the country..

I mean did you see the beat down Temple did on Indiana in rebounding/offensive glass... It was the only reason why they were close...

Sounds like we're the underdogs. How's this team done in the tournament as underdogs so far?
                              Deuces Valley.
                              ... No really, deuces.

This game has all the trappings of 2006. I would have bet my house that we were going to the Elite 8 after we beat Tennessee that year. Don't get emboldened by a team's inferior seed. La Salle is currently in the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 1955, the year they went to the national championship game. I can assure you their fanbase, players, coaches, alumni, are thinking right along the same lines as us. They feel like destiny is on their side and they are going to win.

Everybody in Shocker Nation must treat this game as a national championship game. We need to leave it all on the floor. La Salle needs to be thought of as Duke, Kentucky, KU, Gonzaga, etc. all rolled up in one. We need to be flying from the tip. If we blow them out then I will love to eat my hat, but I have a strong feeling that this will be BY FAR our toughest game of the tournament. My prediction would be that if we beat La Salle we are going to the Final Four. If La Salle beats us they are going to the Final Four.

                                LET'S GO TO WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
