    Great stuff:

Wichita State University's men's basketball team got an unexpected new fan when they arrived home after their latest NCAA tournament victory.

We play OUR game, and exert OUR will, play at OUR pace, and we'll be celebrating again.

Interesting. Garland is a transfer from Virginia Tech. He played 3mins and was 0-1 in the game we played against them in the NIT
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

May not be the right place for it, but why did Jake White have a boot on his foot yesterday at the CKA Welcome-fest?

According to Marshall it is "some kind of foot injury". He can play, just wearing boot to keep from aggravating it more

I think this is a little like Detroit game. Both teams run some.

                WSU - 78
                LaSalle - 71

Seth Greenberg must have as much trouble picking talent on his own team as he did picking winners in this tournament..:bball_spin:

Need to make sure that one or two of the guys don't try to win this game by themselves. Hasn't happened a lot but on occassion it has. We have a lot of weapons and, hopefully, we will play great, totally unselfish team ball and utilize every one of those weapons. If LaSalle takes one thing away, don't force the issue, just find what they are giving us and exploit it.

                      Go Shocks!

Also, really cool story on the radio yesterday about Tim Tebow (NY Jets QB) congratulating the team at the airport. :poster_wu:
Love this stuff from their board......

Sounds like la Salle could really use Zack. From thread by Crazeeguy:

                        - They rebound very well (27th in the country vs. 292nd)
                        - Their two leading scorers are 6' 8" forwards (Early 13.9ppg and Hall 12.6ppg). Early has been hot lately after averaging only 5ppg in his conference tourney.
                        - They have a true 7 foot center in Orupke. Poor offensively but good on the boards and changing shots.

If you watched their game against Gonzaga, they appear to be methodically slow and patient. I don't think they can handle our pressure or speed.

                        Or this.......

Witchita State doesn't the play athletes we play.. The A-10 is one of the elite rebounding conferences in the country..

I mean did you see the beat down Temple did on Indiana in rebounding/offensive glass... It was the only reason why they were close...

Looks like 6 foot 11", Steve Zack, one of their eight players that get major minutes, has a possible severe foot sprain.

If so, they are down to a seven man rotation for their game against us and will only have two players over 6 foot 5".

NOT GOOD FOR THEM. I hope we press them the entire game.

I watched most of the La Salle v. Ole Miss game. Not a lot of defense played by either side.

Here are some stats that few, if any, care anything about. However, they hit my hot button.

Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2013 NCAA Men's Post Season Basketball Tournament
                            Games played - 48 (Excludes play-in games)

Average number of turnovers by winning teams - 12
Average number of turnovers by La Salle - 10
Average number of turnovers by the Shockers - 13

Average number of personal fouls by winning teams - 15
Average number of personal fouls by La Salle - 16
Average number of personal fouls by the Shockers - 21

When the game score is close, stats like these become critical.
"Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

Yeah. They're going to have a mighty fun time trying to get a rebound on Thursday night. This Shockers team is on a mission.
