That "shot" by Elijiah will seal his fate. With his popular status amongst the Jayhawk fans (see sarcasm), he's now shown the entire country his true person. There is no way that's a "heat of the moment" play - that's just a reflection of how his mind works to get through life. Thank goodness we got Demetric of those two. Thank goodness Karma got him, and by extension, his team for that act.

What are the odds of a foul, a make, a miss, an o rebound, and another make to tie? Maybe 5%? MAYBE?
Ok, what are the odds of a foul, 2 makes, a foul, no makes and a basket to lose? Add in 2 makes and my scenario above (less that 1% I'd say) or any other FT exchange that all benefit KU?
This is about math....and the numbers simply do not support letting them shoot a 3. But they are basketball coaches, not mathematicians, so I understand why they get it wrong most of the time.

Do you take the blue blood guy who punches people in the nuts and ultimately loses, or do you take the blue collar guy who plays hard and clean, through injury, and ultimately advances farther against the odds?
:) this is making me think DWill has a nice game today. He is due and certainly deserving.
STICK IT TO ELIJAH JOHNSON TONIGHT, DWILL!!! In a clean way that is. Time to collect your 'scoreboard' reference on him.

When Michigan didn't collapse on Johnson, Johnson probably could have cut his route a little more toward the bucket instead of the baseline and gotten 2 points for the tie, but things happen really fast in those situations. It can take a moment to react to an unexpected situation. When there are only 4 seconds on the clock, a moment is a relatively huge amount of time. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
