  • Why has GREG MARSHALL BENCHED CHADRACK LUFILE?

Chadrack Lufile is a former all Canadian highschool player? Last year he was on a top 5 juco team in the nation and started! This coach must have power trips....Why isn't it about playing raw basketball? The whole of Canada is watching this coach bench a pure talent 6'9 250 WORK HORSE/NATURE TEAM PLAYER. The Shockers need to fire the coach he's horrible. Good luck benching Chadrack against CREIGHTON:greedy_dollars: Chadrack could guard the coaches son with no problem. But again Mr. Mar:greedy_dollars:hall will probably just let his team turn the ball over and turn the ball over and turn the ball over...Why continue to watch your guards cost you the game? Switch up your defense run a 1-2-1 or 2-1-2 if your guards can't play defense. Chadrack obviously should of went to Georgetown where they actually run a structured offense. Who doesn't remember NBA Brooklyn Nets "Reggie Evans" (arguably one of the best rebounders in the NBA) Tweeting about his visit last season to Coffeyville? "Chadrack being the toughest player he's played against who gave him a black eye on the court from a simple boxing out drill." Some coaches hide in college and lose games on purpose because they're afraid to face real life. Chadrack will get his time one day and he will SHOCK the NATION! His last game he had 3rebs in 4 mins??

FACT: December 8th 10 rebs(20mins)and December 20th 12 rebs (24mins) The league leader averages 12 rebs like coach OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S-One of many ANGRY ESPN package holders....

P.S.S- How many championships would Michael Jordan and the Bulls win with out Dennis Rodman????

    why is he benched??

Maybe because CJ looks lost half the time he's on the court. Maybe because he's been beat on D and 3G doesn't accept that when it's done because of lack of effort. When CJ has been out there, he doesn't seem completely into it. I don't know what the issue is as I think CJ has good potential, but just watching the past month or so, he really hasn't taken advantage of Hall being out and I think has mostly played worse than he was when Hall was in. Maybe he's simply not ready to be that type of player? Maybe he's still struggling to adjust to D1 ball. 3G isn't the issue here. He's a damn good coach and has only gotten better. Plus, when you have Ehimen and Early taking most of the minutes, it's going to be hard. And White works his ass off when he's in the game. I haven't seen that from CJ lately. Effort is a big deal around here. With Hall coming back, CJ is going to have an even more difficult time getting on the court unless he starts playing harder. I'm guessing he could put forth more effort in practice as well, knowing 3G puts a lot of emphasis on that.

BTW, he is hurt. He has had back spasms which have limited in at least one game and impacted his practice time. Never mind that he does look lost...

He's played with the best...Andrew Nicoloson(orlando magic) ,Tristan Thompson (cleveland cavs) were his teammates! Each time Chadrack has played 20mins he's had 10+ rebs games... Forget who recruited who and just reward a player for his performance. It's not just about scoring in basketball look at the lakers..... kobe puts up 30 a game in a losing cause. Name the last time Tim Duncan has had a losing season?

Occasion suggests the proper time for action: an auspicious occasion; an occasion for celebration.
An opening is an opportunity affording a good possibility of success: waited patiently for her opening, then exposed the report's inconsistency.
Chance often implies an opportunity that arises through luck or accident: a chance for us to chat; no chance of losing.
A break is an often sudden piece of luck, especially good luck: got his first big break in Hollywood.

You are not doing him any favors - you are most likely embarrassing the young man if this gets back to him. The last thing an athlete wants is for mommy or daddy (or even a friend) to complain about playing time to the public (or the coach). The athlete, being the man that he is, would rather take care of the issue himself.

He has played 24, 19, 11, 11, 11, 9, then 4 minutes since Hall has been out. It's pretty much him and Orukpe playing the 5 only. I believe the 3rd game when he went from 19 to 11 minutes was against UNI and was the first game he developed back spasms. Since that time he hasn't looked the same to me as he did when he played 24 and 19 minutes. I wonder if he is still battling with his back?

And if you think offense is everything, check out fellow Canadian Nick Wiggins.

That young man can score at will when he chooses to, but is seeing the court less in recent weeks due to not playing defense.

The implication that Marshall might be losing on purpose (by not playing Lufile) to avoid "real life" is a hoot.

Have you looked to see who CJ got 20+ minutes and 10+ rebounds against? Those elite D1 powerhouses named Northern Colorado (1-11, RPI 325) and Charleston Southern (5-6, RPI 204). Both team's top two post players are 6'5". I'm sure he looks like a good rebounder against guys who are four inches shorter, but he's the 5th or 6th best rebounder on his own team. He's just not ready to be a major contributor at a top-50 D1 program. Maybe next year.

Please stop embarassing yourself or you'll get lumped in with @Trueshock:, who made the same mistake a few weeks ago, heralding Lufile over Orupke after a couple nice games against inferior opponents.
