That's what happens when you overreact, much like you did with Tennessee.

Anytime you feel like posting within 1 hour of a loss, please confide it to here:

    • Aside from CU, this team always seems to bite us in the ass. Its nerve racking. We beat ourselves this time. That makes it worse.

Time to beat the tar out of the Redbirds.

Yes, that's right. Calm down and back away from the ledge.

We pretty much must win the rest of our games at home. Our room for error is very small at this point just because almost every team in the Valley would be a bad loss. Otherwise, we will have two losses or more losses in the 100+ RPI range and a RPI in the 40-60 range come tournament time, which would make it hard to get in.

Right now, all we lose is national press and a ranking, but the real problem is that it makes the road to the NCAA much harder. Even if we get in, we don't want to be a 12 seed or lower.
after watching siu and bu look like world beaters against the shockers, i'd say we needed carl hall back yesterday. still road trips to terre haute, carbondale, omaha etc

Cool your jets hoss. You're getting way too riled up about this one.
We are predicted to have a SoS rank of #117. You don't get a lot of freedom with that type of schedule. I just don't want to be the team at the end of the year that is 26-4 or 25-5 at the end of the season and on the bubble because the Valley is so cannibalistic.

A lot of teams look like world beaters, when they get a rare chance to play a Top 25 team from their own conference. WSU gets everybody's best shots. It's amazing we almost won today, with how many free possessions we gave EU, down 3 starters, and had them going all Super Bowl against us.

Just STFU. This isn't the freaking OVC or WAC. Your ignorance and ability to over-panic are a double bonus. You're pretty embarrassing.

                  • Disappointment in the loss is warranted.
Disappointment in the way we played is warranted.
Disappointment in the disparity of free throws is warranted.
However, the rest of the season and it's rewards are still within our control.
The only lasting disappointment will be if we don't bounce back like we did after Tennessee.
I fully expect us to do so.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

My point exactly. So much doom and gloom after a loss on this board. Most saw this as a tough road game and it was. 15-2 . We are fine.

                        Good call. Done.

I'll let him melt in peace.

no doubt. i thought the days of the shockers beating themselves was over- i was mistaken there. 22 turnovers?

Look, I didn't start a troll-baiting thread. I haven't personally attacked you in any way. If anyone's conduct has been embarrassing, it has been yours.

This loss alone doesn't ruin our chances. It just means that our path to the tournament is harder. It makes a couple of games a lot more important (vs ISUr on Wednesday, vs Evansville on Feb 27). You think I'm freaking out, but you continuously go over the top whenever I say anything negative. Blimey mate, but we just lost. I'm not going to be all roses and sunshine about a game we should have won, and you shouldn't expect me to be. Nothing I've said has been over the top.

                              • EU played enough to win with our mistakes.

EU did a great job of guarding us at the three point line.
Kept us from swinging the ball to get their D off balanced, and exploit the inside.

It was a tough lose. We let the a couple calls limit our chance to succeed. the jump ball and over the back on Cotton hurt. Cle gave us hope. Malcolm's drive that kept it at down 2. Yet we got a solid look from Jake.

Not the end of the world... disappointed we won't get to take a few spots in the polls and now drop out and stay out of the coaches.
