    • That no call on the tied up ball was absolutely horrible. One of the worst blown calls I've seen in years. Irregardless when you commit 22 turnovers, you don't deserve to win.

        • The thing that really bothers me is that I didn't see the Evansville pimp anywhere today. Where the hell was Ace Purple? That is the only thing I look forward to with Evansville on the schedule. A pimp for a mascot.

We need to finish at least second in the Valley and avoid bad losses (and man does this league have a lot of chances to pick up a bad loss), both for seeding and tournament chances.
Actually MSU wasn't an outlier. They were a very average team that played a ton of good teams.

This WSU team isn't average. It is very good, but like all college basketball teams it isn't Going to play great every night...

But your argument as it relates to the Valley doesn't hold any water whatsoever b/c three other MVC teams rec'd an invitation.

Had Bradley, UNI or SIU not had good years in 2006, MSU gets the invite.

What about Missouri State and Wichita State in 2011?
                    Us in 2010?
                    Creighton in 2009?
                    Illinois State in 2008?
                    Missouri State in 2006?

The Missouri Valley is not kind to those that do not win the tournament. Remember the only time we have gotten an at-large bid has been in 2006 and 2012. What do those years have in common? A dominant 1st place conference season. We probably did enough in the nonconference to get into the tournament, but I would still prefer to get at least second (no, third behind Evansville is not okay), and hopefully only 3-4 or less more conference losses.

Do you think any of those teams were worthy of a NCAA Bid? Teams are not going undefeated (see KenPom's articles on the subject) and your overreaction to one loss without our best player on the road to a top 100 team is laughable.

Okay, so there you go again with MSU in 2006.

In 2008, Ill State was 25-10 with a RPI of 33
                            2009: CU was 27-8 with a RPI is 40
2010: WSU was 25-9 with an RPI of 58
2011: WSU was 23-8 with an RPI of 60; MSU's RPI was 43

                              • And for all the Jake bashing that's gone on here, he had a hell of a game last night and I feel that should be pointed out. 4-7 from the field, 10 boards and 8 points in 20 minutes. I'd gladly take that every game from him. I'd accept less than that and be happy.
