LOL. I'm beginning to wonder if Coach isn't fibbing a bit about him. I could have picked 15 other players/ball boys to shoot in that situation over him. I'm sorry.

It would of been remarkable to not lose a game without Hall. We came ever so close. I expect us to be fantastic the rest of the season. The Valley race is far from over.

Here we go again. CBB fan's post total is about to triple within the next 3 days.

Naw, I'm not planning to start any new threads. I just hate the fact that we play in a league of schools that are built to do this, and basically forces us to have an almost perfect conference record to have a chance for an at-large. Teams like Evansville don't build for consistent success, they build to beat the giants one or two games a year. Tons of threes, ref advantage at home, and one shot-chucker. It means that they go out every year in the non-conference part of schedule and stink it up, but play just good enough to beat us at their place.

If this was an acceptable loss, I wouldn't be mad. But it makes it much harder for the rest of our schedule. Because the Valley has a bunch of horrible teams, we cannot afford more losses. And worst of all, we outplayed Evansville. We did. We honestly did. This was one of our better shooting nights of the season, and we dominated the boards. But we let this crappy team steal a win from us because we just made too many mistakes.

Don't disagree that EU is crappy, but we lost at Drake last year and still ended up as a 5 seed. The edge isn't THAT thin. This isn't the OVC.

Minus 3 starters, this was due to happen. It sucks that we lost. It's a game we shouldn't have lost, but it's not going to cost us anything but a seed line or two and a Top 25 ranking for a little bit.


At 15-2 this point into the season, considering the injury situation, I would have taken it and cashed it out at the bank on November 1st. Your expectations must be Final Four-esque.

Since you just started following the Shockers....

White was a HS AA who was lauded by many to be a tougher version of Kyle Wilson. Kyle was a face the basket player.

You got to prove or lose it. I don't care if he was never missed a 3 in high school and saved the planet in his off-time. This is college, and he shouldn't shoot threes. He has shot 5-32 (15.6%) over these last few years, and never done anything to show off his ability to shoot in a game. And before you say "that isn't enough attempts to judge his ability," remember that he is shooting a 3 once every ten minutes.

Comparing him to a career 38% 3PT shooter is laughable at best at this point.

The question has been asked of the coach, he said he's taking 3's because he is allowed to. He said he hits them in practice.

We pretty much must win the rest of our games at home. Our room for error is very small at this point just because almost every team in the Valley would be a bad loss. Otherwise, we will have two losses or more losses in the 100+ RPI range and a RPI in the 40-60 range come tournament time, which would make it hard to get in.

Right now, all we lose is national press and a ranking, but the real problem is that it makes the road to the NCAA much harder. Even if we get in, we don't want to be a 12 seed or lower.

Evansville has an RPI of 77 right now. Don't think that qualifies as a "bad" loss. Perception wise maybe, not statistic wise.

Hmm, we must be getting some help from ourselves. We improved Evansville's RPI so much that the loss didn't hurt as much. I would have thought our RPI would have taken more of a hit.
