SIU @ WSU game thread

This was the first game in person for me this year so I can't say if the crowd was better or worse for this season but I have seen/heard it much louder in past years ( going back to 1960). It was great for the first few minutes of the 2nd half but then a lot of the crowd acted like it was back under control and sat down. I know my wife and I are both hoarse this morning, we did our part as did most of the top of Section 104. Thank goodness the Shocks pulled this out or you would all be some monkey hatin mothers. BTW, after EO's inbounds oop, I spent the next 3-4 possesions watching 3G. Worth the price of admission right there. How could you not want to play hard for that guy?

Anybody know if espn3 caught any of Marshalls reaction to that dunk? I would love to have a gif of that.

Loud enough for Barry to burn all his timeouts with 11 minutes left. It was loud.

Speaking of milking the clock, I think the halftime show was trying to do the same. I'm still baffled by exactly what happened there.

This was my first trip to CKA since the winter snowstorm atrocity a couple years ago. I was starting to wonder if it was me and the family cursing it, but low and behold, the Shox pulled it out. This team is alot more fun to watch in person. My son is a big EO fan now.

The crowd was tremendous. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't watched any college basketball. Barry was forced to use all of his timeouts by the 14 minute mark trying to keep the crowd down. Kudos for staying up after the timeouts.

What he said. Plus, you might not realize the difference between muffled crowd noise through technology, and what it's like actually on the floor during play. I'm not saying last night was Florida State, but it wasn't exactly @CU last year either.

I thought it sounded pretty good on TV. Not every game can be Florida State and I sometimes think that's what people expect. I understand the desire to have that, but that's not the realistic expectation for every game. Nor should it be the bar that has the be achieved in order for the crowd not to suck.

That may have been one of the strangest basketball games I've ever seen before in person. I mean Kirstie Alley is there. You have monkeys cowboying it up on dogs. Throw in a little Jamar Howard and Garrett Stutz on the side and well, there you have it.

Don't forget Garrett's girl friend who looks like she is about 4 foot tall next to Garrett. Even when they were standing side by side I think they had to use their cell phones to converse.
