This is the 23rd ranked team in the country, a team that HASN'T even begun to realize it's ceiling and it's deader then a morgue in the first half. God it was painful to sit through. Second half was better, but come Jan 16 and Jan 19th the place had better be louder than that.
Can people not see how much this team feeds off the crowd?
I know that most of you aren't the problem, you guys are the most rabid people there most likely but it was bad in the first half. Yes I know we didn't have much to cheer about but come on.The mountains are calling, and I must go.

On a positive note.... I got to witness something historic tonight, really would have liked to see him hit 40. I've never seen a 40 point game before. I was there for double OT in '06 with Miller's 30. EO is a freakin monster. Goodness he is just killing it right now, it is beautiful to watch. He had a couple of slow help side rotations, though they were driving on the baseline which is the hardest spot to see from where he was guarding, but other than that his rotations to drivers were exceptional. Fundamental big man defense. The mountains are calling, and I must go.

That may have been one of the strangest basketball games I've ever seen before in person. I mean Kirstie Alley is there. You have monkeys cowboying it up on dogs. Throw in a little Jamar Howard and Garrett Stutz on the side and well, there you have it.
SIU played the best game in their last 5 years and still lost. WSU's defense was not the norm, but that team was just chucking it up there. A few years ago, when a team goes off like that, we pack it in, call it a game. See ya. Game over. Ranking flushed. But not this team. Mr. Early crashed the party. Kid is a stud. Simple as that. Kinda pissed off at Malcom not giving him the ball at the end to hit his 40th point. On the point of MA, he jacked a dumbass 3 in the final minute that was not the answer. He had some more sillyass turnovers. I will give him credit for the 4 free throws at the end and steal. He redeemed himself there, but come on dude.
We had some really dumbass turnovers that game, that contributed to 16 points in the first half for SIU. JUST IN THE FIRST HALF. We have some fine tuning to do. But again, starters down, opponent on fire, we still prevailed. 4-0, 15-1, #23. Nuff said. These guys need to expect to get every opponent's super bowl from here on out. They'll definitely be getting it Sunday. Just gotta play smart, pass the ball, GET THE BALL INSIDE, and play defense. It doesn't matter what the opponents do. Do those things and we win basketball games.
Desmar Jackson is a solid get for SIU. He was throwing up a lot of junk, but he was on. I've followed SIU loosely this year, so it wasn't not total luck. The kid is a good player. Thankfully we had an Early answer. Love Barry. Glad to hear some claps for him in pregame announcements.
Take the win, move on, and lay a smacking on EU.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Jackson, a transfer from Wyoming, is shooting 35.3 percent from three-point range. He scored 20-plus points four times, with a high of 29 at Utah State

Although, I will never feel the need to discuss early leavers again. At the under 4:00 time-out several people left, and at 1:15, with the outcome CLEARLY in the balance, a LOT of people filed out.
It obviously means nothing to them. I got so upset, my judge, jury, and parole officer (the real Rixtoy - my wife) told me they paid for their tickets - they can do what they want - shut up and enjooy the game - She was right, as usual. If you take the high road, you won't find much traffic there . . .
