Critisism shall fall where critisism is deserved. Coach Marshall is paid very very well to figure out how to win games. He has done a superb job to date. I hope he stays at WSU for a very very long time. However, Coach, in my opinion, failed to make adjustments last night. The precedent had been set by G'Town and Virginia that Tennessee struggled with a zone. WSU's guards were struggling with an agressive man to man. I understand for the most part the game was a 1-2 possession game and really didn't scream "ADJUST", but given coach's self admitted dislike of zone defense, it tends to show through a little more in that situation. It is my opinion. And I stand by that. I also stand by my statement of "for one night, he wasn't very good". Coaches have bad games just like the players do. Sorry to inform some Shocker fans, but neither our coach nor our players are perfect. Though we as fans are very fond of them and think of them in very high regard.
In the end this will be a great learning experience that should help this team grow and better themselves(both coaches and players). The majority of those players had not seen a true hostile environment yet, check that off the list now. WSU should go on to sizeable accomplishments this season, and it will be a fun (al beit frustrating) ride.
