Maybe in the Summit, Bell and DeGray could bring the ball up against a press, but against Memphis that was a really boneheaded idea that Mills used in the 2nd half. I thought the momentum began to change when Mills made that decision. The only thing I would ask Mills is WHY????

Pretty entertaining game tonight! I had to stop watching at about the 10 min. mark. Too bad we didn't pull it out. Pretty sure they spent 4-5x more on their roster.

There wasn't a "Shocks lose by 30+" option in the poll so I stuck with 10+. I have a feeling this game will resemble that Florida game back on Thanksgiving.

Big turning point was Washington missing the alley oop when we inbounded with 2 seconds followed by Memphis hitting a three.

I did have 15 guests in my house tonight and the game on in a bedroom for occasional score updates. One of my guests wanted to watch the ice skating prelims so the TV got changed.

The last time I checked the score was with about 16 minutes left and the Shox were ahead (as I recall). I figured that Memphis would start taking the game setiously at that point and evidently they did. Memphis playing the Shox is a lot like the way NBA games are played. The better team does just enough to hang in until the 4th quarter and then puts the game away.

Betting on the Shox is not recommended this season. They're WAY too unpredictable for any sensible bets to actually make sense.

About the only way the game should have been this close is if Memphis' players had money on the Shox to cover.

Along with last game’s baseline out of bounds plays, if there is a junior high coach who can show Mills how to run a press breaker, can they please go to the next practice and show him?

This harkens back to the ECU game, late , with little preesure Shoxthrow the inbounds pass OUT OF BOUNDS on the sideline...who does that???

I thought the effort was there for most of the game, but the game changed when we decided to put RD in the middle of the press and he turned the ball over twice. I'll never understand why he was in a position to be a ball handler against a Memphis press.
