Even if we win out, our RPI really has nowhere to go but down. Every opponent from here on out has a worse RPI than us. And CU and ISUB have it even worse than we do, as we are the only good RPI game they have left. And they both have us at home. All three teams really need to win out, but of course that can't happen. MAYBE two of the three get to the NCAA Tournament. And that's only if ISUR doesn't win the conference tournament.

      • You don't need to beat teams with RPIs in front of you to make your RPI better. Add in the road equation and it's even more of a potential upside.
        Deuces Valley.

        • There are zero games left in our regular season schedule that will result in an RPI hit if we win. The gain from beating Drake would be small, but still a gain.

To add to this, they have us with a projected RPI rank of 36 (up from current 41) while the Shocks go 4-2 (losing to CU and Ill St or IN St) over the last 6 games before the Valley tourney.

I'll take 4-2 to the bank.

                  • I hope WSU doesn't get voted back in. It's a bad thing when they are ranked.

No cause for concern unless we win out heading into St. Louis.

We'll probably garner about 10 votes in each poll this week.

                        • Looks like our one supporter sheepishly dropped us from #23 to #25 after a 2 win week.

                          • Our 24-5 is a very nice record. Gonzaga is still the only team with more wins.

Maybe we can get a few more votes this week :)
