Not saying you are wrong, but link? Perhaps this was a Coaches Poll.

The final AP Poll for 2006: http://www.collegepollarchive.com/mb...?seasonid=2006

The final AP Poll for 1999 (SwoMo's Sweet 16 year): http://www.collegepollarchive.com/mb...?seasonid=1999

Also, nothing on www.sports-reference.com/cbb showing a poll ranking for SwoMo/MSU ever.

Thanks. The numbers I gave were for AP only, as noted.

        • Greatly appreciate the AP #s. It would also be interesting to see how many weeks each school was ranked.

WSU has been ranked in every decade since the 50s except the 70s and 1990s. Not too many schools can claim that. (50s, 60s, 80s, 00s, 10s)

          • Well two weeks ago we had "Carnage Week 1.0" and the Shockers really benefited from all losses. Last week we had "Carnage Week 2.0" and the Shockers benefited once again from all this losses. Looks like we are going to have "Carnage Week 3.0" and the Shockers will have to win a tough game at Northern Iowa to stem the tide.

            • #19 NCSU lost @ Virginia, 58-55.

#16 Ole Miss is getting demolished 73-58 at home by Kentucky.

I guess at least a few of the teams behind us are being nice, because Indiana State certainly didn't do anything nice to us from behind this evening.

              • #15 - Wichita State lost at home to Indiana State

                Note: Ouch.

                • This just proves that any team that can make it through a college basketball season under 5 losses is incredibly talented and probably pretty lucky. Too much parity in college basketball now and combine that with 18-21 year olds playing and that they are, in fact, human, and this really shouldn't surprise anybody.

Yah, the way we lost leaves a lot to be desired, but in no way, is this loss "devastating".

                  Deuces Valley.
                  ... No really, deuces.

                  • #19 - North Carolina State lost at Virginia

Note: At least we weren't the only ones to have a loss. This may cause their top 25 ranking to disappear.

                    • #28 - Wisconsin lost at #11 - Ohio State

Note: Not unexpected. lead at halftime, just ran out of gas in a tough environment.

                      • It would be nice to see Ole Miss lose for our benefit, but damn, it's hard rooting for Kentucky. Might not matter. They appear to be choking on their own.

Note: Really thought Ole Miss would win this game. I think this does help WSU as someone mentioned earlier.

                            • For what it's worth, the CSN poll had us at 10 this week. I'm curious how far we'll drop with these guys.

If we take care of business, I see us around 20 in the AP and Coaches and 15 in the above poll. Granted, a few spots here or there as we're only half way thru the week, not even really, but we'll still have a number next to us next week. Unless we continue our poor play in Frostbite Falls.

                              • #34 - Villanova lost at #31 - Notre Dame

Note: One of the two had to lose, would have preferred Notre Dame, but hopefully DePaul can beat them this weekend.
