  • Looking at the AP Top 35

15 have had 2 game losing streaks. 16 if Baylor loses to Iowa State
2 teams have had 3 game losing streaks. That includes #34 Villanova who has lost 3 in a row twice.
1 team, Minnesota, has a 4 game losing streak on their record.

Over 50% of the top 35 have multiple loss streaks. We are not alone.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Royal did a great job back in the day of creating a civil set of rules for this site.

I happen to like the rules that he laid out, and the manner in which you've continued that administration, but it seems like we've had a disconnect lately.

Maybe we need to modify or reiterate those guidelines... It seems like there's been a noticeable uptick in the number of punk bitches with ITG (Internet Tough Guy) personality disorder on our website.

I agree that we don't need ITG's excessively intimidating members around here, but please don't reference the way Royal ran this place in the past as a model for the future. ShockerNet has never been better under current leadership IMHO.

Perhaps you weren't around then. At least under your current handle.

I do agree that SN is the best it has ever been, and that @_kai_: is doing a great job.

But... Things used to be more substantive, and we didn't have to look at chickenshit in response to an opinion posted in good faith.

Are you CBB's daddy or something?

I apologize for the name-calling, but his predictable drivel is the most annoying thing I've ever read on a message board. He has no knowledge of the game and flies completely off the deep end. He has no grasp on reality.

With that said, I retract my name-calling. It was in the heat of the moment.

As wusplash has mentioned, the entire Top 25 is losing games, and a lot of em are to to teams worse than our losses have been to. We had a rough week. Creighton had a rough week 2 weeks ago. They fell 9 spots altogether during their tumble. We didn't lose to anybody as bad as Drake. If the pollsters are reasonable college basketball fans, they'll know the losses weren't bad ones. They'll also note that everybody is losing now and it's not just a "WSU thang". I would expect to be at the tail end of the Top 25.

Our losses have not looked good, but at least we put up more than 34 points like a Top 15 could only do last week. I can go on and on...

                • Late evening AP Poll (receiving votes) casualties:

                  #01 - Michigan lost at #03 - Indiana
#27 - UNLV lost at Boise State
#30 - Arizona State lost at Washington
                  #35 - Baylor lost at #36 - Iowa State

                  Comments:
I am guessing there will be two more AP Poll (receiving votes) victims today. Also, I will make a guess later today as where the Shockers will fall to in the AP rankings.

Put down the meth pipe. It was hard enough for the Shox to break into the top 25, it won't take long for them to be voted out. Those three guys who we complained about on Monday for not voting us in their ballots are all now grinning from ear to ear giving everyone the finger.

It isn't about now, it's about how they voted last Monday. They are big tools for not having us included based on results through last Monday. Even you, the King of Gloom and Doom, would have at least had them ranked last week. They deserved it at the time.

That was a poor argument KC. Very poor.

                      • #34 - Villanova lost at home to Providence

Note: Nice unexpected way to start the day off. Still expecting two more ranked teams to lose today.

                        • After seeing all of the carnage this week, I am hopeful that WSU can hang on to the edge of the top 25. But I am not very optimistic. While some of the BCS schools have been cut some slack for losing twice (and even 3 or 4 times), the non-BCS schools don't seem to get the same benefit.

Note: The Shockers get a little more help to stay in the top 25. Will it be enough?

                              • Come Monday around 12:00 noon, I predict the Shockers come in around 27 (+/- 2). I think we needed both Wisconsin and Minnesota to lose today to remain in the top 25. I think the voters will really wack the Shockers for losing twice. It sure didn't help that Indiana State also lost and Drake fans storm the court again.

Also, I think Wichita State will have a chance to get back into the top 25 if "Carnage Week 4.0" happens. Last week I predicted the following and this is what actually happened:

                                Rank
                                01 - 10, predicted 5 losses, ended up with 6
                                11 - 20, predicted 5 losses, ended up with 7
                                21 - 41. predicted 10 losses, ended up with 12
