Man, still more wahhing over there. Now they're crying that we're hurting their feelings... Only thing is they were the ones going all postal over there to start with.

I guess we're the big bad meanies and they are all perfect little Rammies.

I headed over there...ready for the barrage of insults. But honestly their board was a little amusing. Sure they have their d-bag posters like every site, but they had their fair share of respectful posters also. I like a good mix of sensible posters along with some d-bag posters. That is what makes fansites fun IMHO.

Oh and as far as VCU's "gaudy" home winning percentage, they can thank all the patsies who reside in the CAA for that. 80% of the teams in the CAA are the kind of teams we buy to come to our arena and get spanked every year.

You know the more I hear about VCU, the more I think of SIU; entire fanbase buys into defense first concept, brags about home-winning percentage (I think SIU had the longest home-winning streak in the country for a few years). Having the kind of home-winning streak SIU enjoyed during the time they enjoyed it in the MVC is 300x more impressive than VCU's which was built in a low-major conference. SIU did it while we were the 6th or 7th RPI conference in the nation.

A person just has to nod their head and smile when a VCU fan bloviates about their "prowess". It happens every year when a Cinderella makes some noise in the dance and their non-existent fanbase instantly becomes existent. Their forum is instantly populated with screennames like VCUFOREVER!, VCUFTW!, I<3RAMS, all created some time around 2011. They run around to opponent's forums to tell everybody how "great" they are and how they are becoming a major program. And then... you don't hear about them much any more.

Like I said, just smile and nod, smile and nod.

It looks like VCU has a ("UNI") flopper.

My key for the game (outside of the obvious Havoc pressure on D) is Tere taking it to the rim early to get the seven foot shot blocker or hall into quick foul trouble...since he knows how to draw fouls. Then the other penetrators and Ju can go off.

Man, I hope that is their strategy. After we block the first 5 shots they try to put up, they'll get cautious. When they finally do manage to put one of our shot blockers on the bench, they will be overjoyed. All of a sudden, the lane is WIDE open. No one is going to stop them. They are driving. The ball is in the air. It is nearly at its apex... and BOOM comes Early with the monster block. And then VCU realizes that we don't have A shotblocker. We don't have TWO shotblockers. In fact, we have 3, and at least 2 will be in the game most of the time.

And I hope that they try to "wear out" our bigs. As long as their student section keeps riling Hall up, his legs will feel weightless. Do they think they can just out-run Orukpe? Maybe they don't know how fast his long, long legs can get down the court. And Early? Fugget-about-it. Now, they may be right about our guards. Maybe, they will lose their shooting touch with a VCU defender on them the entire game, breathing down their throat. All I can say is: don't get a millimeter off Baker. Not a single millimeter. That is .04 inches for the Rams that don't know metric.

Very classless for a coach to publicly say something like that. I have never really liked him, but especially not now. I guess he does have a case of little man syndrome as I suspected. Get a life. Carl chose to come to WSU instead of VCU, get over it. Both teams are in a really good position right now, so who really cares?
