Then lets throw in Lufile, EO, Hall, Early & White so we will have a bigger height advantage. The point is you have to throw players out there in positions they actually play. At this point Early is a FOUR, not a three.

I think my post had a lot of accurate information, and you are making a big deal out of a small part of it. I was just answering the question: are they a small team? Yes, they are. And Early can and will play the 3 this season, even if he does not play it against VCU, so you are making apples to oranges comparisons.

The point is that VCU is a smaller team, and nothing else. I'm not sure why you are taking such exception to that.

I couldn't help myself. After my peruuuuuusal of the thread in question from the VCU message board, it seemed to me, for some of their fans, winning the game against us was secondary to their hatred of CH and HCGM. So I just thought I'd have a little fun with that. Also, the tradition remark was a jab at their man DistrictBaller (who seems to be a pretty decent guy), for his criticism here in another thread (about one of their high school level cheers), of our tradition. His argument primarily being some of WSU's traditions had not developed since the creation of VCU. Therefore, those traditions, because they are older than VCU, are somehow less legitimate than VCU's newer traditions. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Imagine that. The older a tradition gets, the more illegitimate it becomes.

But it's all just in fun. That is until game time. Then I mean every word of it. But not really. Well, maybe. I don't know.

I think the first sign of a program with a complex is fans who talk about the other program paying off players after a lost recruiting battle. Could it be true that maybe Carl came here because Marshall and his program were just plain more like able?

No we paid him... It's just not possible that Carl can choose WSU over VCU. :) complex...

Did we accuse Self of paying Ellis? No we understand that ku has a tradition on a different kind of level and there is nothing wrong with that. Some VCU fans don't want to lose with dignity. Makes me look forward to the whining we may see if we do pull it off.

We will also be rattled by the sheer volume of fans in the house. Major college basketball = major crowds. Intimidation factor for our new guys will be huge. Another reason Hall cowered out and chose WSU. He doesn't like playing in front of huge crowds, no doubt.

I'm glad they are up so high. Either a proud loss or a great win. This game will only help our team. I wouldn't bet on a win but who knows. We didn't expect a 21 pt beat down in Omaha either....even with that team.

I would guess that they would tend with smaller lineups though. Even if they go big, we can put out a frontcourt of Early/Hall/Orukpe and force a mismatch at SF (Early against a 6'5" guy would be interesting).

You're the one insinuating WSU play a lineup to include Early at the 3 vs. VCU. At least that is the way I read it. If that is the case you are all wet, because at the time (6 pm tomorrow) Early does not play the 3, so why talk about something that won't take place? I'm not making a big deal out of it (just having a little innocent fun), just pointing out an inaccurate point.

By the way, I enjoy all your posts. You are very insightful and thought provoking. Keep it up...seriously. I just don't always agree with your takes (thus...a fan board).
