I know it's not related to the MVC, but I think it's also noteworthy to mention that Emporia State played Tulsa and KU in exhibitions and have been led in scoring by none other than Heights grad/ESU frosh Terrence Moore.
Moore had 11 points against Tulsa (leading scorer for ESU) and 10 against KU (second-leading scorer) including a strong flush near the end of regulation. He also ripped KU guards twice and had a third steal off a tipped pass. He did all of it in less than half a game coming off the bench. As a City League guy and someone who has said for a long time that Moore should have been at least a low-Division I signee, I think he's showed his value in both games. Shouldn't be a Hornet at all. It should also be noted that Moore was the second-leading scorer at Heights last year ahead of Thurman.
