If this passes, I feel bad for a lot of the D2 schools and such that are able to help fund things by playing a few of these games every year. Not to say they'd go away completely, but if this is coming up then there are schools that don't want to play them any more.

AAC Basketball Parings will likely come out late July.
Here are how things were set last year,
and what might happen for the upcoming season:

2024-25 Parings for 13 Teams (no SMU)

Last Season the Shockers were 15-19 over all. It appears there are around 5- 7 more games to book? The Shocks need some challenging games to complete this Non-Con 2024-25 schedule.

21 of those games were AAC games including the AAC Tournament. During the regular season they had 31 games. 13 non-con and 18 AAC games. Assuming the AAC plays an 18 game schedule again this year we are looking to book another 4 non-con games.

One of those games almost has to be an Intrust game. With the NCAA Tournament coming to the 316 this year, that facility must host a game during the season.

I just hope they don’t try to put another guarantee game there. That was a colossal fuster cluck to have last year’s game against South Dakota State.

We got the Oklahoma schools because we had surpassed them as a program and it was a game that boosted their resumes and didn’t hurt them if they lost.

Doubt they’ll be on the schedule anytime soon unless we get bought. We’re getting home and homes with the DePauls and Western Kentuckys of the world now.

Okie State has been as bad as us. Granted, that won't hurt their ability to schedule since they're in the State Farm Conference.

It's likely there will be a non-D1 team on the schedule. You may all groan now. Mills is definitely not the first WSU coach to schedule non-D1 teams.
