Mills' buyout is only $1.5mm, plus whatever WSU had to pay to buyout his ORU contract.

For sure.

I've been pretty critical of the coaching most of this season and the decision to hire him at the time, but now that he's here I want him to get a full 3 years to show what he can do.

It helps that there have been a lot more glimmers the last few weeks of what this team could potentially be.

Memphis can be a very talented, and tough minded team. Yesterday, nothing the Tigers could do intimadated the Shockers. It seemed early on this Season that Memphis and FAU would battle for the AAC Title and both Dance.

I honestly don't know quite what to say after reading that article.

He damned well better be on the AfterShocks.

Someone here, help find this kid a job after basketball. Sounds like he might need some speech therapy, somebody has to know someone to help him out and you can come to ME for payment if necessary.

His Aunt deserves a statue or something.

I almost feel cheated that we didn't know this until now....unable to give him the send off he deserves. Man....he deserves about 20 good turns in this life. I'd take knowing he's going to live a long, successful, fulfilling life over any win.


If by some miracle we're still playing Sunday....................

In all fairness Doc, I post a lot crap (attempts at humor). I’m sure many glossed over the post. It deserved a thread of its own and I should have taken the time to do it. It really touched me and I also wish we could have read about it sooner. Stories like this make me less critical of our team and the future of college athletics. I believe Craig Porter was at a crossroads in his life and overcame the obstacles of a troubled youth.
