Sounds like someone read Shockernet and said this is what we should say we want.

A good win tonight, but far from a flawsless performance. Athough the shooting for the most part was outstanding. That's 2 games in a row the Shocks have shot lights out and as pinstripers regularly reminds us that kind of shooting can cover up a lot of issues. We'll see if they can take this show on the road but at some point they will have to win a game with toughness and just wanting it more.
In the post-game interview on ESPN+ (with Shane Dennis & Bob Hull) Colby Rogers said before the game Coach Mills pointed out that Rice loses whenever they give up more than 15 assists, so Coach Mills made an emphasis on sharing the ball and we did that today...you know, we just played good team basketball today.
That seemed to be a bit of an odd statement to me. Why would that not be part of your game plan every game?Last edited by 1972Shocker; March 3, 2024, 02:48 PM.

That seemed to be a bit of an off statement to me. Why would that not be part of your game plan every game? The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

There is a reason they had so many open opportunities to fire away from trey land.
They passed the ball instead of dribble, dribble and more dribble.
Getting the ball out of Bells hands helped too. He is like a black hole. the ball goes in, and never comes back out (except for some idiotic shot after he drives the lane and picks up his dribble).
It was just good to see the whole team have fun blowing out a decent team.
The first half was disturbing, if you look at the numbers. Rice was shooting lights out, but the have to give them some credit. They are well coached and their offensive sets create a lot of open shots and opportunities.
But their offense is also designed to grind out a game so when they got behind, it was tough for them to adjust and the Shocks just kept pouring it on.
For once.
That is all.Above all, make the right call.
