This pricing strategy does work, in fact -
The early buyers paid face value for closer seating - in my case, much closer than I have at Koch based on P Points; - and that is a value for me I accepted at a price.
And, there is perceived value and savings for those now buying "discounted" seats - it is all a matter of perception - if the current $12 seats were originally priced at $100, they may not have sold any (or, they might have), but now people can feel like they are getting a great deal. I suspect all that is faxctored into their business model.
Bottom line is I hope the areana is full and price should not be an obstacle except for only a few who couldn't go regardless of the price.
LEt's fill 'er up. Our kids deserve it.
And, no whining from people with primo seats at CKA having to sit a few rows higher- I know you earned them over time (or, your parents did in some cases), but it is one game for the rest of us to see what that's like up close. I hope you'll still come.
If you have those seats at Koch, you can afford it.
If you take the high road, you won't find much traffic there . . .

Welp, here comes the discounts. Now, let's see if the Greatest Fanbase on Earth can pony up the $8.50..
      Deuces Valley.

You have to redeem them at the IBA box office and pick out your seats. The sooner, the better, obviously.

You may have meant this in a different way, however, my understanding is, when the first generation passes on, the second generation starts from 0. No credit for what "the family did" or attaching multiple generations' names to the "credits". I believe this is fairly common among programs. Please correct me if you know otherwise.

No one will believe that from now on. Although, this deal is for the upper level only.
It's not shocking considering the apathetic sales numbers so far involving "Wichita's team". The Eagle apparently stepped up and is now offering tickets at Creighton-discount night prices. Now the only thing that'd be more embarrassing is not being able to sell out the upper bowl with $8 tickets for high-quality basketball involving a Top 25 team..

All I know is I have at least three sets of friends who I am sure pay the SASO and ticket fees for that location, but do indeed sit in the exact same seats their parents had for years - in essence inheriting their good will.
I have started at zero and even though I conribute at Bold Gold level, am still at least three rows higher than the designated BG section - but, I understand those will only open up as BG members leave for some reason - I get it.

              Am I misunderstanding this?

Sorry Fever, I knew this time would come and I waited them out. But at least I bought six. Thinking if they do this again, I may buy ten more and donate them to the base.

Seriously, $8 frickin fifty? No excuses now people. None. Unless you live in another state. This trumps all office Christmas parties, bad sweater nights with Uncle Fred, and any 13.00 movie showing out there.

People gripe about not coming out because of our schedule? No excuses on this one work either. USM is a quality opponent coming off a great season.

Seriously, $8.50? That can't be for lower level can it?

Upper bowl, but still tons of front row upper level seats, which aren't half bad.

                    • 8.50 is fine if you want to sit upstairs.

I paid 29x4 and got to sit down low. That's cheaper than a standard ticket at Koch Arena. Those complaining about paying 29 bucks for a ticket to watch the Shockers at IBA need to check themselves.

Come on Fev. Last year's discounts set this up. You know that once you give something to people, they expect it every time. Add to that an opponent that has no more sizzle than last year's and it had to happen. Those that wanted quality seating got the opportunity to get it. Those that didn't so much care about that waited.

"Wichita's Team", Top 25, or whatever, this was going to happen. Only two ways to correct it. Don't do the discount and see how many buy at the last minute or improve the opposition (as far as the casual fan is concerned) so people will want to buy early forcing late comers to the rafters.

They could continue to sit where their parents did as long as they continued to pay at the level required to have that type of seating. If there was no "re-seating", as several years back, they will continue to be in those seats. If there is a "re-seating", they may get bumped due to a lack of cumulative points needed to hold on to those particular seats.

Anyway, that's the way I understand it from someone I know. If your friends say this isn't true and their parent's points got past on to them, let me know. The person who told me will definitely want to know that.

                            • Speaking of discounted tickets, I just read on ESPN that T. Boone Pickens has purchased the remaining 4,000 tickets to Oklahoma State's game against Gonzaga on New Year's Eve and will offer them for free to OSU fans beginning tomorrow.

I missed it too. They never checked my ID though.
