USM, University of Southern Maryland, how far from Eastern Shore? Get a damn quality opponent and the place will be near capacity. Tulsa was good, UAB & USM not so much.
Yes, and I've mentioned Tennessee being such in another post. Now if we can hopefully get another 2 game series like it next year starting on the road we'll have alternating home/away bigger name games.
Very true. Tulsa was an example. Old time rival, record not as important. Other examples this year: St. John's, Purdue, and most of the Pac-12 :highly_amused:.
A lot of mention about the Tennessee game being at IBA next year, does anyone have a link to that? Just curious as I myself have not seen anything noting that. Last I read was a H/H with Tennessee starting in Knoxville. It makes sense and would likely sell lots of tickets, but I would be a little upset that we moved our best non-con game away from Koch. As a season ticket holder I feel that is what I pay a substantial dollar amount for. That said, I will be at IBA this year and if Tennessee is down town, I will be there for that too.

There are no monetary benefits. In fact, it most likely costs us money not playing the game in Koch Arena. What it does do is strengthen our schedule with a team that might not have come to Koch Arena and it is apparently very important for recruiting... HCGM said recruits want to see IBA and are excited to play in it whatever that's worth...
What this city is full of is a bunch of Wal-Mart wearing K-State and KU t-shrit fans whose once in a lifetime opportunity to watch "their team" is at IBA. Shocker fans have 18 opportunities a year to watch their team.

You forgot "mouth breathing" after "...Wal-Mart wearing'

Aren't both teams guranteed a certain amount of money from the promoter for playing the game?

This. I have yet to see anything that says it has to be at IBA as well. I wouls hope the "promoter" would go out and find someone else for us to play that has just as much name recognition.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....
.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.
I'm sure, but you lose the Koch revenue, although revenue doesn't have much to do with this game, I don't think.
Tickets didn't go down when they had this game at IBA. In fact, season tickets have gone up each year a little. That's why I was so unhappy with other fans when they complained about the seating at IBA when it was part of the season ticket package.

You're not going to see anything about it because it hasn't been publicly announced.. :tennis:
Again, the Tennessee series doesn't happen without IBA, i.e. it was a home and neutral set up. Tennessee was not coming to Koch Arena under those circumstances.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.
