Did I read that right? Shocker Madness starts at 5:00 on a Thursday evening? Seriously?

Granted, the autograph session and women's basketball scrimmage carry the least weight with me for the event, but really?

Well, I hope I make it in time for the ring festivities...

I bet there won't be anyone there til at least 6.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

My goal is to be able to get there by 6:15 for the Shocker Women's scrimmage.

When do you guess the men's even starts? That's the second I will walk in the gym. Trying to trick Shocker fans into watching women play basketball is Un-American and against my economic sensibilities. Don't get me wrong, I love the ladies, I mean they rev my engine, but they don't belong on the basketball court.

According to the link, the men's scrimmage will begin at approximately 7:15. But if you wanna be there for the dunk contest, I'd be there by at least 6:45.

We have a lot of new players and we might be disappointed in our season record if they don't perform. Imagine finishing behind UE, DU and ISU; that would be terrible. So here is what we have to do: You gotta strip them down to bare wood: you can’t just tell ‘em to forget everything you know if you gotta make ‘em forget even their bones… make ‘em so tired they only listen to you, only hear your voice, only do what you say and nothing else… show ‘em how to keep their balance and take it away from the other guy… how to generate momentum off their right toe and how to flex your knees when you fire a shot… how to score backin’ up so that the other guy doesn’t want to come after you. Then you gotta show ‘em all over again. Over and over and over… till they think they’re born that way. :)

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

That photo was quite special there WstateU. These pics you find and post crack me up. My own Doc was complaining about the weight to height ratio chart the other day, proclaining that I should be 7'12" tall baby. Yikes!!! Maybe we could get our own SN inventor of the crossover dribble, Tyrone Shoelace to add to the madness that night and teach a dribbling clinic for our beloved Shocks? Just don't serve Rosewood stale nachos.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
