This is a very disappointing and unexpected outcome. Every coach must continue to learn and adapt as they progress through their careers. Mills is not progressing like we all would expect/hope. We're gonna have to "grow with him" it seems. Perhaps there's something going on behind the scenes with respect to chemistry/injuries. If not, he needs to attend a coaching seminar or something... It's clear we should have been able to beat Tulsa. Our performance against far superior teams is evidence of that. Consistency is definitely missing.

He would just get all pissy and defensive like he always does. He would try and preach patience, which has run out....even for me. And he would blame everything on being broke.

Just glad I quit watching this program, before it started bleeding out on the street after being curb stomped.

All we can hope for is that an ambulance shows up in time to place us in a medically induced coma before being announced DOA.

The whole entire point of a program the stature of what Wichita State was just 5 years ago was that we shouldn't have to be more patient than every other school in the AAC who's also gone through coaching changes in that time.

South Florida won the league last year with a first year head coach.

East Carolina.

Tulsa.

UTSA.

Temple.

North Texas.

Why do we need to be more patient than all of those schools?

Saal ****ed up, big time. Mills is terrible. Absolutely terrible. Like, so bad that he's got to be actually trying to be bad; I can't accept that someone is accidentally this bad.

This may or may not be a dumb question… but what would the obstacles be to bringing Marshall back? We are terrible, we are in an even worse financial situation and he’s on our current payroll anyways… is this even realistic possibility?

I’m sure he is nervously waiting for a phone call. What a great idea . I am shocked no other poster has thought about this yet. Great first post!

It’s coming close to Scott Thompson level of IDGAF anymore until a change is made. At that time he had been in place a couple of seasons and was hired to replace a guy I absolutely never believed in so I had hope when ST was initially hired. Similarly, that hope was absolutely extinguished.

Since I originally became a diehard fan around ‘70 who faithfully has kept on my yellow colored glasses this is only the second time I’ve reached IDGAF level and it is sad.

It’s not. And also, I really don’t think Marshall is a good fit for today’s environment. I’ll get hate on that but we need to focus on the way forward
