If the way he blames the players in public has carried over into practices and the locker room, that could be expected to result in poor on-curt performance. It's one thing to hold payers accountable and get on their butts when they mess up. It's quite another to blame them for losses. Especially when the players probably know that there's little chance of winning a game with the game plan they're being asked to run and the players on the roster's ability to succeed with that game plan.
The game plan obviously includes Bell driving into triple teams and putting up a prayer shot in the lane instead of drawing defenders and passing to the guy who's making 75% of his shots. Otherwise you'd think they would stop running that "play".
