I still cannot get over Mills' braindead "rebuild" comment.
Brown coached in a much tougher AAC. One with Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF. And Brown finished 1st, 7th, and 6th in the conference in his three years here.
Mills? Mills is coaching in a much easier AAC, and Mills finished 12th his first season (tied for last), and is gunning for last place this season.
Ridiculous.
I'll give Mills credit on one thing. Whoever we hire next will no doubt know what sort of rebuild project they are in for.Last edited by rjl; 2 hours ago.The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Lmao, Mills is so beyond disconnected to the fan base. His narrative isn’t going to fly here, because we’re not as quite as gullible as ORU people. We’ve actually seen good basketball here, enough to know that what’s on the court is as **** as the coach that’s leading it.
so many issues I can spot. He thinks the talent in this league is really good (it’s generally not), thinks that this rebuild is going to take longer than he thought (says the guy who thought that all of last years players would be the perfect core), and I can go on and on.

Just how bad are you if you are 1/2 game out of last place in a 13-team conference that is behind CUSA, WCC, and MVC?

You will never, EVER see 3 or 4 year players and "develop" your program. Surely there has to be a better set of offensive and defensive sets and schemes that can work in this type of setting, because being able to be cohesive is the only chance when all the "horses" have been poached to schools with deeper pockets. But if that style is 90% "jack or drive" and "WTF is a rebound?" like seems to have become the norm, I don't know how interested I can stay. The truth will set you free. Is he knowledgeable?
Yes he is. He knows the game and has other top level coaches that agree and support him.
Did he and his staff make mistakes regarding recruiting certain on roster players?
Yup, sure did.
Will he get another chance to find the right personnel to try and turn things around?
Oh yea.
Could it be a painful year or two before this possibly happens?
Yes to that one too.
But he is the guy in charge now and ADKS isn't making any rash changes either in the near future.
Message delivered and received.
Get used to it.
That is all.
I agree that he is knowledgeable about the game.
I agree he will be around another year or two
I also believe he is a great molder of men. A genuinely great guy.
But all of those characteristics do not necessarily make a great coach. I don't like his offense style of play and his defense has been mediocre at best.
So I stand by my statement because, if he would just announce he was quitting after the season, it would give the financial relief to hire a new coach in time to do recruiting for next season.
So, yes I wish he would just quit.
I might add that I have supported him and wanted folks to give him a chance. Until the last 5 or 6 games that is

Mills May be bad, but at least we don't have Doug Gottlieb. Just a little perspective to ease the mood a bit.
