He played JuCo and Professionally overseas, has a history with Eck, Jank and Gross and has been recruiting Texas.

It sounded like 3G had plenty of options for this hire so this young man must have made a good impression, have solid recommendations from folks 3G trusts and brings something to the table that 3G valued.

What did Coach Ford bring to the table when hired here? What do we have on our roster now due to his hard work?

I'm just saying the man is a salesman. Understands the type of players we are looking for, and comes well recommended from a Coach has a lot of respect for.

Coach Marty G's input no doubt helped a lot with KT landing this gig.

At this point in Gregg's career, I won't doubt a thing he does in regards to hiring assistants. To the naysayers, I'd like you to name one coach that didn't pan out. And Dana isn't one of them, he produced while he was here, big time.

As long as you're certain those are where his best connections are, I'm ok with that. We'll see what kinds of kids we end up on in TX and OK.

One thing that is a slight red flag to me is his connection to Coach Eck.

We knew Dana had connections in Illinois/Chicago. That's all I was getting at. Have no idea about this guy and who he'd recruited to aTm-CC.

Sounds okay to me, and we have every reason to trust Marshall and his hiring practices -- but still, as we see from Sub, this is scary news for the Shockernet Eck-anoid crowd, because this guy has a LOT of Steve Eck in his background.
