We shot 1-21 from three. 4.8%. I've been watching college basketball since I was a little kid and I don't think I've ever seen a team shoot 1-21 from three. I'm sure it's happened, but I've never seen it personally. Something is seriously wrong here.

I thought Saal made it clear to IB that after the Alcorn State game, lack of effort would no longer be tolerated.

That offensive effort was non-existent.

I remember being excited to see where we were going to be in the top 25 on Mondays.

Of the 20 losses in our last 41 games, 10 were at home including 2 at IBA. Friends asked me tonight why the crowd was smaller than normal at IBA. Losing 10 games in Wichita out of our last 41 total games isn’t helping attendance. Many factors for poor attendance but losing at home doesn’t help.

Do these guys spend more time in the weight room than the BB court or is it simply bad shot selection?

In my opinion, OSU was by far and away the best team we've played so far this season.

It doesn't bother me losing to them, what bothered me was the lack of effort, especially from the get go. It got better as the game progressed, but we can't afford to have 1-3 guys playing hard while the rest are just coasting.

OSU scouted us beautifully. They guarded the 3 hard and dared, if not begged us to go inside. As I said a game or 3 ago, without a post presence, we are 1 dimensional and we'll get scouted to death and have few options. Last night was a glaring example of that.

How we were within 5 in the last 2 minutes is a testimony to 3 things:

OSU's lackluster offense
Our good defense
A higher Authority

There was a late possession where we had them sped up and there was a loose ball and guys on the floor when it looked like we had the ball for a second, then it was loose again and we were called for a foul on a loose ball a couple seconds later.

I was not pleased with the officiating in that moment, to say the least. But what do I know (except more than 99% of the people in the arena)....what did it look like on TV?

Based on a sports-reference query (very helpful site btw), it’s only the second time all year a team has shot below 5% from 3.

That’s partly an anomaly but partly consistent with the way we shoot the basketball. For some context, we came into this game ranked 282 (out of 363) in the country in 3P% at 31%.

Did the other team try it 21 times too?
