His plan may or may not work (I’m pretty skeptical myself as well), but there isn’t a ton else to say until there’s more data and games to look at.

Bottom line is they thought they had the PG situation cleared up in recruiting. Things happen, as they always do, and now we find ourselves where we are now. It's not like HCPM said, "you know what, I don't need a PG. I think I just won't recruit one." Have faith in this staff. I know we are predisposed to think the world is falling because the previous coach was inept, but that is not the case now.

I don't believe for one minute that not having a true PG was EVER Mills' _intention_. Saying he didn't WANT a top notch true PG is silly. I just don't think he was able to find and recruit another one in addition to Cortes, that would have been available immediately, was proven, and not already being poached by a P5 school before even hitting the portal.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

He gets some slack since he started mid recruiting season and he's done pretty good for 2024 class, but he doesn't get to wash the blame for the way this roster is constructed. Its all part of why he's getting paid millions. If year 2 ends up the same way, we will have REAL concern. Right now its just a yellow flag as something to watch for. He will have to earn his paycheck on the coaching side this year to make up for the lack of success on the recruiting side.
I also don't think it's a bad thing he's not harping on it in conversations. He's trying to make the best of it with what he has. Talking about not having a PG over and over is just trying to deflect blame. So I do like the way hes talking (or not) about it.
