2022-23 NOMINATIONS: "Cone of Shame"

OK. What did I just see there?

1) A cheerleader was too far into the sideline area, looking at the crowd, and may have accidentally made contract with her foot during a cheer to an opposing team player as he was passing the ball in bounds. She did not see him as he went to that side of the basket to throw the ball in. That player, also, made no indication of it and it did not affect the pass in at all.

2) Next time down the court on that end of the court, on a dead ball, the cheerleader went out to that opposing player (who was not involved with the foul) who was fairly close by, and just tapped him on the arm, "probably" to apologize.

3) The opposing team's coach, on the other end of the court, apparently went nuts (based on the announcers) that an opposing team's cheerleader came out on the court, touch and/or said something to his player. Never saw the opposing team player act unusual, mad, or upset.

I get it that she should not have come on the court, but I also did see anything, even by the opposing player, that something was done wrongly to him.

Perhaps, but regardless that cheerleader made some stupid choices that she should have known better. They know the rules, or at least should. My question is why the other Cheerleaders just let her do that. Who was the captain that game? Was there not a Coach of some form present? There is at our games.....

Oh and that didn't look like she went to apologize. Looked like she walked with a purpose, shoved him a little and said something. Which if THAT happened, she should 100% be escorted out.

Good point, but I did get a 'kick' out of listening to the two announcers wonder wtf happened. Talking about announcers, these two guys are in another league. A very underrated movie and hilarious scene...

I'd say Bedazzled is one of the most quoted movies on this board along with Major League. The basketball scene is really what makes the movie...I haven't watched much else of it but the basketball scene and commentators are too good.

Yea, it did not look like she was apologizing to me ...

Apologizing or something else, that was the weakest one-handed "shove or push" I've ever seen. Looked more like she surprised him.

Nevertheless, I liked the 2 young announcers.
