Are more blacks stopped and searched than whites. Yes. Why is the question. The answer is available if you look at prison populations or crime records. But I do have to say that whites are catching up in those numbers over the last couple years.

I don't post much on here anymore, but I am going to challenge your premise. I personally hold the belief in any profession that there are people who are good at their job and people that are not. There are some great policeman who do their jobs and serve the public and their are also ones who are racist and want to get off on the power they have been given. Their are white supremacist organizations in this country who try to infiltrate police departments with their members. Your idea that police merely pull over more blacks based upon crime numbers, has racist overtones. So a policeman has a right to pull over more black people based upon the suspicion that they may have committed a crime, because statistics say there is a good chance they did? What happened to reasonable suspicion? Or is being black your reasonable suspicion? I live in the suburbs of KC and helped raise three young black men who have never committed a crime and can tell you that they have gotten pulled over for no reason more than is reasonable.
Amen People in life often see in others what they are looking for.

This reminds me of the “women are paid 70% of what men are paid” conversation.

Believe me...I agree whole heatedly. I've got to learn to keep my opinion to myself when I see racist sexist stuff I disagree with. But if someone calls me racist as shockidasical did, I just consider them an idiot. There is no way for him/her/it to know that because they don't know me.

But I'm with you, get the balls on the hardwood asap!!!

She was obviously interested in a romantic relationship. I mean it started in a P.E. office, or a school bathroom. We all know how a P.E. office that is connected to a middle school locker rooms or bathroom smell. Human sweat (dirty towels) is one of the nice smells..

Wow...I go away for a few days and come back to find my name embroiled in a mildly heated discussion, and being described as, if I have this described correctly, "an old guy shaking his fists at clouds'....

Well, still laughing.....a couple of thoughts...I AM white, but have grandkids of color....I also have many friends of color who I would not describe as activist firebrands, but who HAVE shared with me experiences of encounters from police different than mine.

I also AM a believer in the police , but realizing like in ANY venue, there will be bad apples.....possible to see many sides here....

I'll go back to my Clint Eastwood on the lawn status now...:)

A case where you hope the allegations are true, because if not, the man's life is ruined.
                                20-30 if guilty.
