WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A Purdue basketball player was arrested for driving drunk early Sunday morning.

Mason Gillis was pulled over just after midnight after someone noticed him driving “all over the road.” Officers say the Purdue sophomore from New Castle showed signs of impairment and was booked into the Tippecanoe County Jail. The Journal & Courier says Gillis was released Sunday night. Head coach Matt Painter says they are aware of the incident and will handle it internally. The basketball program will not comment on the incident. Gillis started 23 games for the Boilermakers as a redshirt freshman last season and is among five starters returning for the 2021-22 season.

As the two were talking trash, Draymond got into Poole's face and Poole pushed him to get away. The push wasn't anything out of the ordinary, it happens in NBA games all the time. However, without even squaring up, Draymond just abruptly punched Poole in the face and connected. Yesterday, Warriors GM Bob Myers mentioned that Draymond Green probably wouldn't miss any games over the incident and that "things like this happen."

"ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- Three basketball players at Lindenwood University in suburban St. Louis have been charged in connection with an alleged rape. Authorities say 22-year-old Ermias Tesfia Nega of Arlington, Virginia, and 19-year-old Tylan Jamon Birts of Homestead, Florida, were charged Oct. 14 with second-degree rape. A third player, 20-year-old Bradley Newman Jr. of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, was charged with second-degree invasion of privacy.

A probable cause statement says Nega had consensual sex with the victim Sept. 18, then told Newman and Birts she was "ready" for sex. The victim says she realized after turning on a light that she was having sex with Birts, not Nega, with Newman watching."

Draymond is a punk and always has been. He should have had his a$$ flattened. Not sure why he is getting so much protection other than the organization wants to save face. They are more concerned with who leaked the video than what actually happened. Draymond has a reputation of treating people within the organization terribly.

If his name was Dan Green and he was white, he'd have been suspended, at a bare minimum, and possibly canceled out of the league.

If his name was Gregg Marshall, he'd have been fired for cause. Different rules for different folks.

"A former Johnson Central High School girls' basketball coach who was arrested on Sept. 21 entered a not guilty plea in Johnson County Circuit Court on Oct. 14. The former coach and teacher was indicted on three charges, alleging sexual abuse, rape and sodomy against a minor and now has a new court date set for Nov. 21 for a pretrial conference. Commmonwealth Attorney Tony Skeans said the alleged offenses, which include class D felonies such as third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse, were listed in an indictment against Darrin Rice, 54, of Wittensville. Skeans said the offenses were perpetrated during a time in which Rice was in a position of authority over the minor victim."
