I want to remind everyone he has one (1) win in the NCAA tournament and a very poor record in the MVC tourney. His teams seems to not handle pressure.

I almost feel physically ill after that. We played like a team of freshmen and sophomores for the first 25 minutes. But seriously people need to back the hell off of Stutz. He played like **** today, but we're not even in the discussion for an at large bid without him.

Oh trust me, I was being quite serious as well. A fan board is full of differing opinions, but to qualify a comment with the lameness of yours is mostly funny. Be original. If you don't like a comment, have a dialogue laced with reasonable talking points not "hey kids don't put your hand over that open flame. Father, have you ever done it. No. Well how do you know it's dangerous then?" PLEASE...

Well, I think it is lame to reflexively blame a coach for any loss. What exactly did he do wrong in your expert opinion?

This is going overboard. Winning 1 game in the tourney at Winthrop is actually quite an accomplishment, not a negative.

Undersachieved my ***, what do some of you people expect...I mean really....This program is not a UNC, Duke, or KU. I am not saying it cannot get there, but this stuff doesn't happen "overnight" because we "deserved" or "should have" won a game here or there. The last time this team had 3 25 win seasons in a row was...wait let me look....wait...no that can't be...HCGM just did something no other WSU coach has done...3 25 win seasons in a row....

I would have to concur with that. Enjoying watching Iowa State kick the shite out of U Conn(who I just dont care for). I always thought this team was lacking in smarts. No offense to any particular players but out basketball IQ and mental toughness was not quite up to par. Been downing a few after the game so please excuse the rambling.

I live in Rock Hill and used to go to every Winthrop game and I agree. He worked with not even half the talent WSU has now, to get to the tourny that many years in a row and lose to TN on a last minute jumper and finally win one says huge positive things about him being able to coach a team to a win over a vastly superiorly talented team.

Bill Self should have been fired long ago for the many times he has been "out-coached" and upset in the Dance. How many times beaten by "B" teams and throw in UNI to boot?

Another thing bad about being elimnated, is the longer wait for next season. 8 months? OMG.

Go out and pack Koch for the women Friday night. Maybe they can go on a run like the guys did last season.

If we were Kentucky, Duke, NC, or Michigan State, I would probably agree with you... But our programs performance /record of appearances in the tournament over the last 60 years leads me to believe that this standard is easier said than done for about 98 or 99% of coaches. We seem as fans to have some perverse sense of entitlement that doesn't match our performance over time.... Maybe that is our curse. From where I sit HCGM is our blessing....

That sucks. If it wasn't for all of his contributions throughout the year we never would have been in this game!!!

I'm looking at the big picture as hard as that is right now.

HCGM's first year he was ejected out of the valley tournament and our team lost in the play in round. Today we lost in the field of 64. Did we play like we had all year, no but VCU had something to do with that.

I was a student in the 1990's and it took far too long to get the program back to its dominance. I will take a first round loss in the NCAA tournament any day compared to just 5 years ago. Congrats Shocks on a great season. It ended too early.

Let me also say that our fan base is special because of the loyalty through not the good times but the bad times we have gone through with our shockers unlike other big name programs
