This isn't even fair...
"One of four talented seven-footers on the Seminoles’ roster for the 2021-22 season who fits comfortably into Florida State’s make-up as a run-straight-to the rim player on offense and as a rim protector on defense…is excellent around the rim and is a superb shot-blocker…has a nice feel for the game while also possessing the capability of knocking down perimeter shots…a great ability to finish around the rim and displays consistent range out to the 3-point line…led Florida State to an 18-7 overall record and an 11-4 mark in ACC play in his first season in Tallahassee…helped Florida State advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in his first season in Tallahassee…earned playing time for the first time in the NCAA Tournament in Florida State’s win over Colorado (March 22) and against Michigan in the Sweet 16 (March 28)…also helped the Seminoles advance to the ACC Tournament championship game as he earned playing time in the Seminoles’ 69-66 win over North Carolina in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament…Florida State’s victory over the Tar Heels in the ACC Tournament sent the Seminoles to the ACC Tournament championship game for the fourth time in school history…grew five inches in the last four years and enters his sophomore season at Florida State at a solid 7-0…participated in the Super 60 Showdown in Raleigh, N.C. following his senior season at the Quality Education Academy…played for the Gym Ratz AAU Team in New York…began playing organized basketball in 2016 and has developed into an impressive player with a very high ceiling."

As of now that's what I've heard. Although recruiting is so fickle so things can change. Would be AWESOME to get a dude like that at Center though. One of the biggest things we are missing. If we had him and Pohto on the court at the same time with Kenny at a 4 we are suddenly tall and dangerous.

Article written about Ballard entering the portal. Guess a walk-on got minutes over him this year.
Who knows though, perhaps he would find more success here? I like size, but still want quality size....

Instead of turning to the unproven Ballard, the staff instead started giving minutes to 6th-year walk-on Harrison Prieto, who had a very solid season considering the circumstances. The staff turning to Prieto showed they had very little faith in Ballard, and put writing on the wall that he likely wouldn't be around for.
