This predates IB by a while. Fred was running Shaq's ass up the stairs I recall. I would say that period was the last time we had grown ass men on the floor. You also can't tell me Etienne wouldn't have been faster 10 lbs lighter.

None of this excuses the state of our facilities, program, or feckless leadership, but thirty-five years is a long time in one gig.
Off the top of my head...

    Toure
    Garrett
    Ron
    Markis

All got much bigger and stronger while they were here.

Frankamp for sure. Landry too. Both increased their strength tremendously, which is probably what made KU take a look at him.

Genetically, there was nothing Markis could have done to get a big lower body. It's literally the way he was built.

So not to pay raise for the AD?

If the pay raise is for a replacement AD... Then sure!

Agree with McDuffie being the link to that older crew with Ron, et al.

You can raise a helpful amount of money from smaller donors if enough are willing to chip in.

However, until we have a clear and honest assessment of where the program is, what the administrations' goals and expectations are, and what the administrations' long-term plan is to achieve those goals, it is hard to get too excited about throwing good money after bad. For me, at a minimum ADDB would have to go or be gone and President Muma needs to express a clear vision of how he sees athletics' role at WSU in addition to laying out the assessment, goals and expectations and plan of attack.

Considering the lack of transparency we are seeing so far with this administration I am not holding my breath that any of this will be forthcoming.

                      • Wasn’t the athletic department required to reduce it’s overall budget by 20% the last two years. I think several of the highest paid coaches were asked to take a 20% pay cut. I am guessing that might be a factor in KR not wanting to continue to coach at WSU.

That he was never fan of Marshall and this is all of his fault. Of course, he never called for his head while we were going to Final Fours and Sweet 16’s.

Coupled with Doucheboat's salary going up by 37% whilst they ask others to take 20% cuts. Yep...

Reduce overall budget by 20% but raise AD salary by 37%. Seriously, that’s some slimy, slimy work, nevermind all the other of Boatright’s shortcomings.

                              • The Rosenboom resignation should be the proverbial straw.
