I have a few upset KU friends because we'll be celebrating the marriage of two friends and the game won't be on Saturday. I have no desire to watch any of these teams play and the only way I end up watching is if KU makes that championship game and we get together. I typically don't pass up opportunities to hang with my friends, but if we don't, I'll ignore that game too.

I missed the entire baseball championship in 1989 because of a wedding… I was an usher at a brother-in-laws wedding. We didn’t have cell phones back in those days… we did get updates from the bartender at the reception, but there wasn’t a television. Of course I’ve watched the replay and we did attend the championship celebration the next day at the Eck. Those were the days my friend.

Did you not go with something like YouTube TV or Sling?

I've done those two in the past, and pretty much every other one over the years, but had signed up with Fubo in January. They were running a special where if you paid for 3 months at the time, there was a discount and you got some extra channels like ESPNU included. So I've been able to watch all the ESPN channels but never watch TBS and didn't even realize they weren't on Fubo until a couple weeks ago - lol. Didn't feel like paying for Fubo plus Sling or something else just to watch the tourney, especially since WSU wasn't in it.

It was, Villanova was raining threes all game long. Now....the games yesterday, those weren't exciting in the least. I get your point and it's valid. I've always found that hardcore fans of one particular school can't handle it when praise is given to another team or in this case, the blue blood schools.

Unfortunately that's how 90% of the people on Shockernet act and a big reason why I don't frequent much anymore. It's also the reason I'm not just a fan of one particular school, team, etc. I'm a fan of sports and I appreciate good games no matter who is playing, regardless of conference affiliation.

I'm excited for that Duke-UNC game on Saturday, should be a fantastic game. I'm hoping the KU-Villanova game is good too but with Nova nowhere close to full strength I'm not expecting much.
