  • I'm torn in this game......I would love to see St. Peter's continue their Cinderella run, but I don't think they would match up well with Puke...I mean Duke at all. I think UNC-Duke would be a much better game.

Whoever wins this game, I'll be rooting for them and Nova the rest of the way. Dear God please don't let us have a Duke-KU championship

    • Peter’s appears to be petering out…

      Speaking of Peter’s…

There were 33 (remember this number) in Washington's boat. It was extremely dark and storming furiously and the water was tossing them about.

Finally, Washington grabbed Corporal Peters (remember this name) and stationed him at the front of the boat with a lantern. He ordered him to keep swinging it, so they could see where they were heading.

Corporal Peters, through driving rain and cold, continued swinging the lantern back and forth, back and forth.

Then a big gust of wind and a wave hit and threw Corporal Peters and his lantern into the Delaware. Washington and his troops searched for nearly an hour trying to find Corporal Peters, but to no avail. All
of them felt terrible, for the Corporal had been one of their favorites.

Sometime later, Washington and his troops landed on the other side, wet and totally exhausted. He rallied the troops and told them that they must go on.

Another hour later, one of his men said, 'General, I see lights ahead.' They trudged toward the lights and came upon a huge house.

What they didn't know was that this was a house of ill repute, hidden in the forest to serve all who came

General Washington pounded on the door, his men crowding around him.

The door swung open, and much to his surprise stood a beautiful woman.

A huge smile came across her face, to see so many men standing there.

Washington was the first to speak, 'Madam, I am General George Washington and these are my men. We are tired, wet, exhausted, and desperately need warmth and comfort.'

Again, the Madam looked at all the men standing there, and with a broad smile on her face, said, 'Well, General, you have come to the right place. We can surely give you warmth and comfort. How many men do
      you have?'

Washington replied, 'Well, Madam, there are 32 of us without Peters.'

And the Madam said, 'You gotta be shittin me.'

Lol....that's one of the things I loved about Texas .
every year is a championship season to cowboy fans, until about game 4. Then you can harass them to no end. Fun times, and guaranteed annually.

        • Duke and NC have the most talent left.

Unfortunately, KU won’t have to face either until the championship game

          • I see the media pundits are pushing this as "one of the most appealing" final fours in a while because it's all blue bloods. Would not be surprised if it's one of the lowest ratings in a bit. Those schools might have large fan bases but to most fans this is just a meh final four.

                Look at KUs run:

                Blew out Tex Southern-expected

Almost lost to depleted Creighton team who had six healthy scholarship players.

Shot twelve more free throws than Providence, who had four guys end up with four fouls each.

Got a double digit overachieving seed in their Elite Eight game.

Will now face a Villanova team playing without arguably their best all around player….and Gillespie, who is the other side of that argument, is not healthy himself.

Not only does cheating pay, Lady Luck seems to be looking the other way as well.

KU regularly loses to Villanova in big games.

                    • College basketball's class chasm has never been wider. Yeah there are some cute stories but pre portal tampering, double standards and rampant subjective application of NIL rules reign and it will only get worse. I am actually happy with the Final Four and the Elite Eight, because it is a resounding model of the **** show College Basketball has become.

Let’s hope they have to at least beat two legit teams to get it.
I’m not the guy you’d pick to defend the Beakers, but Houston played double-digit seeds in all 4 wins to make last year’s Final 4. Whoever Houston played in the Sweet 16 was weaker than 4 seed Providence (can’t think of who of the top of my head), which tips the scales to Houston having easier path than this year’s KU team.

Yep, it will be musical chairs every year with the top players reshuffling to the Top 10ish teams.

However, we don’t care because Houston made us money.

Money that the inept school and athletic department doesn't deserve. As long as BoatWrong is in charge of the athletic department, they don't deserve a dime.
