  • Jim Larranaga isn’t talked about in the annals of Shocker basketball villains, but I could argue he has, both directly and indirectly, caused Shocker fans more pain than any other team/coach not named John Calipari and Kentucky over the past ten years.

    • So many really good quick smart guards around in this tournament and
the country ! Didn't think I'd watch many games but there have been so
many good ones and teams that play together and play team D. Houston
really tough. If I could pick one coach it would be Sampson. He mentioned
something that made me think of GM's teams and that is how hard their
practices were and getting them to buy in to defense. We need a couple
big physical PF's and a SG who can shoot/play D. I'm happy with CP and
QG came along nicely at the end and of course I like KP's upside potential.

Gonna have to say past 20 years to be able to include George Mason…and a dude named Dana Altman did his fair share in that time.

Remind me what you are “indirectly” referencing. Obviously, I remember 2006 and 2016.

            Doh. Of course.

            • How does Purdue always get these massive human beings. They had Isaac Haas for a bit who was 7'2 295. Now their big man is 7'4 295

              • Both TCU and Arizona are incredibly well coached.

                Arizona has almost no weaknesses.

Bennedict Mathurin is a huge stud. And that dunk is sic! and was an and 1 missed by the refs.

                Really good game here.

Very difficult to cheer for Kerr Kriisa.

Arizona is very young (they will lose a couple to the NBA) and should be excellent for the foreseeable future.

                • Loyd is losing this game for U of A.

His team is clearly rattled and he let TCU take all the momentum and the lead.

                  • Arizona gets gifted a win from a no call and doesn't get a layup off in time...

                    • Miles tried to bait the call.

                      Didn’t work out for him.

                      • Outside of Koloko, I think everyone who plays for Arizona is unlikeable.

                          • Sad that the refs missed an obvious foul or two in the last few seconds of regulation. Reminds me of UCLA-Texas A&M in 2008.

                            • I hope Houston knocks the hell out of those cocky asshats from Arizona. Why TF would you immediately go wave bye-bye at the opposing fanbase?

(In all disclosure, I only started watching with a couple minutes ago and regulation, so I might have missed anything that happened during the game that caused that.)

Nah nothing really did. That’s the MO for this Arizona team, which we saw a little bit of in Vegas.
