I love Kevin Sampson. He is a brilliant coach. And Reggie Miller got it right when he said Houston has 5 players on the court that can dribble, pass,, and shoot.. Then Kevin makes them buy into playing defense.. Coach IB must be given credit for playing tough with these guys.. But we need more athletes that can dribble,, pass,, and shoot..

Is Penny’s seat hot since they were preseason top 10 and they didn’t even make the Sweet 16?

I’m torn on Penny now. He can seriously recruit, but he can’t coach a weed to grow. When he listens to Larry, they can be great, as we saw. Larry is old. He needs a seasoned coach on the bench.

The AAC needs that high profile team going forward. As long as Penny is recruiting at that level and is getting beat in conference play, it lends legitimacy to the AAC.

I wonder if Houston (UCF and UC too) will have to leave behind their NCAA shares whenever they leave the AAC (as we did leaving the Valley).

I'm sure if we were involved in that contract, they'd get to keep it all.
