My wife won't hardly go since Marshall left. She enjoyed watching him more than the game.

Same with mine. I asked her a day or two ago if she wants to go
to KC tournament. She wasn’t too enthused but did seem interested in going if we can squeeze in some time at The Legends.

This doesn’t fit the narrative of some in this thread though. To them Greg is Bruce Weber and just happened to get lucky and hire like nine great assistant coaches. Talk about a lucky streak.

Then he hired Linstead and Waterman, who had no college experience at all. Heiar made a pretty much parallel move, which raised some questions about why he would do that.

I don't think we'll be discussing the head coaching success of the assistants Marshall had toward the end of his time at WSU. It's easy to remember the great years and ignore the downward spiral that happened after Baker and VanVleet graduated. I've looked at the recruits after those guys left (everybody after Shamet). Over half were busts. They either couldn't perform at this level or they left the program.

Heiar went 3 years after Jans left and was never made Associate Head Coach. Forbes was probably ahead of him the first year (no associate head coach named) and Jans was "back" in the 3rd year (still no associate head coach named). Heiar left before Jans did in the same year. Thus, we will never know if Heiar would or would not have been "named" to that position had he stayed. Just my opinion.

So Marshall = Weber. Got it.

The only thing that took a downward spiral is this board since you started posting your gibberish. You hate Marshall and we get it..

                    • I am a Marshall fan and hate how it went down and would take him back in a heartbeat…. but still have the ability to be objective about the ups (mostly) and downs (a few) during his tenure.

It is bizarre how any comment that doesn’t involve 3G turning water into wine is automatically viewed as going full *******/Gotlieb/Beamer.

I know this is a fan forum and expecting any level of objectivity is unrealistic…. But it seems a few are in full on Salem witch hunt mode.

Yep. Gregg Marshall owns a lot of blame for how things are going.

He doesn’t deserve the majority of it, but he owns quite a bit.

The fact that you think you can dart your way out of this is truly the funniest part of all.

                          • This has to be one of the most epic fails of an AD tenure ever. I blame DB for everything. The buck stops with him.
