This whole conference can kiss my whole *** hole. Like any of us really give a **** if Marshall looks like an *** to them. Guess what? Everyone probably thinks Geno Ford is the nicest nice guy in all of nicety nice nice basketball. But get your *** handed to you by a team, and its coach starts to look more and more like an *** to you. Get it handed to you with a side of lip, and you go full bore ***.

There is a lot of reaching going on here. I've seen nothing to suggest that ADES and Coach don't get along. In fact, everything I've heard him say and both of them do points to a good relationship that they have. Coach defended our A.D. when people were criticizing (on Shockernet and Eagle) how many seats in the arena weren't being filled and noise was down by saying that fund raising is up and I saw them hug several times during the season. I would not doubt that he gets tired of all of the negativity that happens during a great Championship season (by media, etc.) because when he defended the department, he sounded incredulous or maybe a tad weary about the negativity. This past experience may have made him more weary. However, he sounded more energized during the coaches show.

I think, as fans, that we perceive a lack of "backbone" from ADES. The 1.9 second issue is still a problem; Eric did seem to yield easily and participate in Elgin's circus. Overall I have difficulty finding a lot of fault with Eric; I do find some fault with him. He has tried to mislead me in the past (but what politician doesn't do this?)Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Sexton: Corporate has given Gregg two strikes. They are very, very upset with him. So, as a disciplinary measure, he is going to have to issue a formal apology. Gregg, have you prepared your statement of regret?
Gregg: I have.
Sexton: Let's hear it.
Gregg: [unfolds piece of paper] I state my regret.
Elgin: You couldn't have memorized that?
Gregg: I could not because I do not feel it.

Sounds like Marshall gave the ol' "I'm sorry, but I'm not really sorry" response.“Aim at perfection in everything, though in most things it is unattainable. However, they who aim at it, and persevere, will come much nearer to it than those whose laziness and despondency make them give it up as unattainable.”

Stutz informed me and a few others what the exchange was. Wilkins called him a M***** F****** B**** A** N*****. Stutz then just looked at him and might have said "what?"
As further evidence to Garrett's presumed innocence, in general, Stutz finds all cuss words taboo except the three letter donkey word. You'll never hear him speak any other foul language besides it.
Imagine if the refs had only called a tech on Wilkins. Two more free throws for us (game changer) and Stutz would have received more PT.

Lions , Tigers & Bears Oh my!
Anyone outside of Wichita has to admire the devotion and support HCGM has. In fact, I would bet there is quite a bit of envy, from other coaches.
From a compensation, facilities & support, it is indeed a top level job.
However, no one person is bigger than the system.
GM crossed the line last Saturday and although most of you refuse to acknowledge or accept it, there had to be consequences.
If he felt his team was jobbed (or use whatever term you like), there was a proper and professional way to handle and address it.
Blowing up in the bowels of Scotttrade in front of individuals, i.e. certain journalists who shouldn't have been witnesses, was the wrong approach.
Sure, GM is a fiery guy who loves his kids and everybody knows it. But engaging in shouting match with the leagues top dog in public was not his best moment.
He knows it and after some time to calm down and reflect upon the whole issue, hopefully will learn to handle future issues with better composure and restraint.

I am sure HCGM will be here to make him even better . . .If you take the high road, you won't find much traffic there . . .

The probl;ems Marshall has had in St. Louis may make it much easier for him to consider the offers he will certainly get after the season is over.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!
