It's going to have to start with the money guys because ADDB won't start it, but it's time to round up the $$ to pay off two former coaches and go hire an actual coach. If Tulane can corral a guy who can outrecruit WSU, then there are coaches out there who can do the same here. Take the financial lumps and the player defections and start over.

Two more years on this trajectory and we'll look like what happened to SIU when they kept Lowry too long after Weber left.

The Shocks are 3-5 over their last 8 games following road wins at Missouri and at Oklahoma State.

The 3 wins are over Norfolk State, Alcorn State and Prairie View. Only 1 of the 5 losses was a road game, 1 was at IBA and 3 were at Koch Arena.

The Shocks gave us some hope tonight that maybe they were turning the corner, but then they pulled a Lucy on us and we ended up on our Charlie Brown butts.

Unfortunately, I think this season is proving last season was more of a fluke than anything.

At USF. Pissed away game in regulation. Fouled a 3pt shooter while up 2. Dude only made 2/3, sending game to OT where we pulled it out.

At UCF. Pretty sure we tried to give that one away as well, though I don’t remember details. UCF had shot in the air at buzzer that missed.

Tad Boyle used to say that there’s a fine line between winning and losing. These games are just like last season, except the bounces aren’t going our way this time. That’s why you don’t hire an interim coach based on admittedly fluke wins. Now our program is completely FUBAR with no end in sight.

I consider Darron to be someone I like on a personal level, but he can’t get fired soon enough for how this was absolutely botched.
