Benching “NBA talent” when it hurts the team. There is no I in team, right?
And yes, I realize he scored 17. Doesn’t excuse the green light he’s been given all season.

Got to say that Larry brown looked more active on the sidelines than any other Memphis coach. Guy can still coach and motivate. He joined the Memphis coaching staff because he knew the talent was there and he is now doing his coaching swan song on what will presumably be a high note. Contrast that with the WSU coaching staff. I think Jans has that kind of energy. Of course he has to have the fortitude and energy to come to Wichita and dig it out of a hole if and when he finally gets here.

No. We likely loss either way… with that stated In some games you can’t afford to give away possessions as a coach. That stretch was as bad as it gets and it was obvious an intervention was needed.

I like him, and I know he wants to win the right way, but these players are obstinate when it comes to following IB’s game plan.
He was the good in Gregg’s good cop / bad cop routine. We need a bad cop.

Random thoughts about the crap I just watched in person. When 95 year old Larry Brown shows more emotion on the sideline than IB we might have a problem. When one of our players gets cheap shotted like Monzy was and IB says nothing to the official we might have a problem. When we allow the players to walk out of the locker room after halftime like we we’re just at a funeral we might have a problem. When we think JP is our answer at the 4 we might have problem. When Zombie Kennedy is our special assistant coach that is helping to coach our head coach we might have a problem. When he thinks we are running a good offense we definitely have a problem. We can’t shoot, we can’t get good shots and we can’t score inside. We can’t stop Memphis from getting in the paint, but we don’t play zone we definitely have a problem. IB is the head coach and a big problem.

Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.
