Oh yes, that contributed to the loss...LOL.

        I'm not gonna say it's 3Gs fault .... that's a dumb coorelation ..

BUT a big part of the loss IMO was the horrible weird substitution early in the game. We had all the momentum and we swapped in a lineup of Grant, Jenkins, Council, Monzy and Pohto .. Super young team that hadn't played together in a game. Made no sense at all. That was my biggest fault of IB in this game. Like why?

Did that happen when we had a long run of uninterrupted play, almost missing an entire media timeout period?

Well, I believe Marshall did make mass lineup changes at times. Simply a personal opinion, but I never saw the wisdom in "5 out 5 in" or even "4 out 4 in".
Generally, one starts his best five combination, which will most likely will also contain many of the players that are the best at their position on the team. Most of the time, there will be a player in a starting lineup that just can't physically be out on the floor as long as the others and some who seldom need to be taken out. Also, some who can slide over to another position to keep a lineup strong. A "second five" also generally contain some who are not that much of a drop off and some who are a bigger drop off (that's someone you try to "hide" in the lineup). One's opponent also comes in to play as well as the things you mentioned.

In the first half, it was at the 13:38 where all but ETN came out (14-5 score).

I less have a gripe about 5 in 5 out (though probably not the best when you are on a good run). It's that the 5 in was a group i dont' think had played together in a game all year. It was just an odd combo without a veteran on the floor.

                  • I am loath to say anything nice about Self but I WAAAY prefer his timeout strategy to3G or how IB did the other night… it is not a sign of weakness to use them
