Reason I mention TE above is what he pointed out when Mo is in the game. Albeit a very small sample size, our defensive PPP is significantly better when he is on the court. Mo's struggles to recognize the double team, etc are frustrating, but I have always admired his toughness and consistent effort. I haven't checked a box score this year but his rebounding seems a little better. I hope he can regain his form from end of last year - we'll be much better for it if he does. Have to mention Pohto - I agree with Ref, buy all the stock you can. Last night saw some normal FR stuggles at the rim but he seems to have an advanced feel for the game and moves well for someone that tall. He'll get stronger and I bet he learns quickly. With his touch he is going to add a dimension to the O that will help a lot later this year.
Wow Chaunce! Much quicker than I imagined and obviously not afraid to try to make a play. Didn't look lost given his time on the bench - hope we see more.
Speaking of more...more Monzy! And I like Pleasant, but in addition to Monzy's energy he adds quickness and some playmaking at that position that we need.
Thought our PGs both played pretty well. Not great, but took care of the ball better.
I'd like to see Tyson not get sick. If he could work on that I'd appreciate it.
DD does so many things well, just need him to recognize when to drive and when not to. Some of those drives...yikes. He doesn't have to slice the D to be effective on offense.
RCIV is so talented. Still learning when to drive and shoot and when to drive and pass, but he's shown the ability to do both. Really want him to dial it in on D...he's not lazy I just want to see him lock in and play D through the buzzer. His knack for scoring and versatility in how he scores is pretty fun to watch.
I think very highly of HCIB and I like how he gives guys several minutes typically when they get in (ie let's them get into the flow). Interested in what you guys think here, but I did see him yank a couple of guys after bad plays (I think Porter and Pohto) and I've seen him get more animated with guys about mistakes. I have just been watching on TV so interested in your takes. Bottom line is improvement and I think these guys have the desire and work ethic to do that. As Taylor pointed out, our offense has been getting us wide open shots. I'm admittedly not an expert, but I'm not concerned with our game plan, sets, adjustments, etc. Once our shots start falling from open looks we'll feel a lot better. Time will tell.
